Received a call from this person asking to speak with a business owner. When I asked what it was in regard to he started asking questions about our business location. I again asked what it was in regard to and he asked for the owners name. I told him I could not provide him any additional information without knowing who or why he was calling. He got an attitude and asked who I was. I stated my name and again asked what I could help him with. He very rudely commented that I was playing game with him and he needed to know my position. I confirmed that I was the office manager and asked again what I could help him with at which time he stated that he was with some alarm company looking to speak to the business owner about service. Now knowing this was just a sales call I stated to him that we already had service and were not interested at which time he said "WELL F*** YOU" and my name before hanging up.
I called back to see if this was actually a business phone. He answered and immediately hung up.
I contacted ADT after finding this number here and provided them the information. They apologized and stated that they will submit a report but did not know which authorized representative this guy works for at this time.
I would be very curious what company this guy actually works for!

Called me too. Unknown number, and when you call, no name on voicemail, or when they answer.

Michael Martinez is calling now...2 days after I filed for a fictitious business name. Twice in 3 hours.

I called him back and he answered again.  He stated he was with Security Networks a part of ADT.

I got a call from Michael Martinez.  From number 916-968-7901.  He asked me to call him back at 916-968-5901.  I called back the 5901 number and it went to VoiceMail.  I called the 7901 number and he answered. He stated my business on Via Roma Drive (also my home) and my new fictitious business name.  He said he was with an alarm company and wanted to know if I wanted a new alarm.  I said no and he said thank you and hung up. I am now worried that my house is being targeted.

Got a call from Gabriel Martinez from Martinez and Associates...I also applied for a business license

Fictitious Business License through Sacramento County.  Now he is saying his name is Gabriel.  Just want to give you all three heads up.  Thanks.

Harrassment calls. Refuse to state their business. First from a Miguel then Gray Russell

Received a call from Angel Hernandez and his voice spoke as he needed to talk to me as he made it sound like I know him. Caller id says it's from Russell Gray. I didn't call it back because I had a gut feeling it was a spam.

thought it was kinda strange he asked for me by name asking if i still need adt( at my girl friends adress)... gotta love the internet.. and yes i too recently got a business license and fictitious name.. i recieved a call this a.m in reguards to my fictitious business name the second step of completion was publishing it in the paper.. my guess is this guy is pulling info from there... 916 968-7901
i think i ll post his number on craigslist in the "free stuff" section just so his phone blows up.. i love that trick

Oh wow. Reading this sends shivers down my spine. He recited my address too and I totally freaked out.
I guess I can look forward to this for a while, a friend of mine says it calms down after a couple of years...?! Everyone on this blog should start calling him and offering our services, see how he likes that.

So happy to read this blog. He called me twice within the same hour and left 2 messages! I only filed yesterday. He sounds like a complete con-artist and I'm glad I just confirmed that.

I got this lovely call today as well. He left a voice mail, I called him back... no company identification, just "How can I direct your call?" I asked for Angel Hernandez, he identified himself, and then said he wanted to sell me an ADT system. When I said no, it was "Okay, Thanks." and he hung up. Major red flag for me, since most telemarketers don't take "No" that easily.

Here's the worst part... I have a home-based business. His voice mail message to me said he tried to reach me at my address, and called when he couldn't get anyone to answer. Really?? I sincerely hope he didn't just show up there!

ADT can't verify who he is.

Candace, at the City Finance Office, informed me that our contact information is public once we file for a Fictitious Business Name. Apparently they have people who show up daily and surf their computer(available for public use), and write down all of our info for cold call purposes. Had I known this, I would have seriously rethought the address and phone number included in my filing.

FYI...

Looks like the county gives our DBA info to company named Centax (sp) and they give ADT the info for leads on new businesses.

Yes same thing.. Angel Hernandez called.   LEFT his name and number told me to call him back.   Doesn't say the reason for his phone call so I knew there is a RED Flag!    Very recently reapplied for business license in Sacramento County.. I guess he is taking data and phone number from there...

Solicitation!!!

I just got a call from Angel Hernandez, 916-968-7901, not identifying him self, when i called he told me where he was from and asked if i wanted an alarm service.  Very weird and made me uncomfortable.  I applied for a bus license last week, adn i posted my company with the gazette.

Thanks for the reports guys.  I started getting calls from this guy after registering a business too, will make sure to block the calls.

I got a call from  an Angle Hernandez he was offering alarm services for my new business in Sacramento county.  Asking for me by name in a courteous manner was not deceptive to me but professional. I did get some rude calls from other solicitors but this was not one of them.

P.S. Some of the posts say, "I am on the Do Not Call List" That list is for intra -state calling not in-state calling. Also when you buy a new home or start a new business you will  get junk mail and phone calls for awhile. "GET OVER IT"

Call was from Angel Hernandez.  Cold call from ADT trying to sell me a security system for my business.  Told him I had one and the number he dialed was a private residence.  Asked be placed on the Do-Not-Call list.  He was polite.
