FYI:
I was called by this company several times the last few days.  I told the caller to "remove my name from the calling list".  I currently work for a Telemarking Company in Omaha, and know the laws regulating these sort of companies. To provoke an agent is not a good solution, so I tried the "MR NICE GUY" approach. I figured the calls would stop. Turns out any FTC FCC regulation is thrown out the window with this group.   I found it even more disturbing that they called back several times after the initial request. .  

My father in law , who is the CEO of the company (who also owns the phone line) I work for answered in one occasion and the guy started yelling back at him and told he would keep calling back.  

Through our local Police Dept and the Nebraska Attorney General's office we are "nailing" this group.  The Police Dept and Attorney Gen' recorded the number and called it themselves.  Aparently no one in this state, till now, has turned in the number.  Jon Brunning , our Attorney General is one tough cookie and trust me, this company will pay, whoever they are.

A word to the wise, our State Gov't says this is a scam and TO NOT GIVE OUT ANY CREDIT CARD INFO!!!  They will steal your info and attempt to gain access to any account you may have.  

The State of Nebraska is filing a lawsuit and attempting to gain the feds assistance in going after this company.

calls my house 3 or 4 times a day. no one says hello and then hangs up...it is very annoying and i wonder if something legal can be done to stop it. I am on a no call list.

I had a couple of calls. They do not call here anymore. I have a POLICE WHISTLE and I cupped the reciever in my hands, took a very deep breath and BLEW the whistle as loud and as lomg as I could. I think she miught be a little deaf after the second time.  Like I said they do not call here anymore. I still have the whistle.

Contact the credit card company amd tell them that you do not want them to PAY these people. Explain what happened. A similar thing happened to my wife.  I had her stop any and all payments to said company.

Do a REVERSE PHONE NUMBER SEARCH. That should give you their name and address. Good Luck.

this 206 exchange is located in seatle there is a company that spoofs caller id in area code 206 it is a scam they are trying to get your cc #'s dont answer them

OK, folks, if we cannot get rid of these callers, why not have some fun?

A few suggestions:  
1. Pretend not to understand English, Just use ANY language you know.  Come on, everybody knows a little bit of Spanish or German.
2. Tell them that a person they asking for will be available in a few minutes so you'll have to put them on hold. Meanwhile put your favorite CD into your comp or a CD player,
turn it on full blast and put a receiver in a close proximity.
3. When answering, start with something like ...it's a (fake cityname) police department. My name is ...  How can I help you?
4. Tell them they've reached Australia or New Zealand.

I got my first call from them today.  Caller ID said "BW".  On my voice mail, someone yelled my name, then hung up.  Lots of loud noise in the background.

young sounding guy called and asked for my husband by first name only.  i told him he wasn't there and got hung up on?  i didn't like the feeling i got which is why i googled the number and found this.  i get telemarketer calls everyday but NOTHING like that.

I was one of the stupid ones who did give out info. Was anyone else this stupid? if so, did you recieve ANYTHING from this company, i am extremely paranoid now. After giving my info, i decided it WASNT a good idea and called back and got a message for a full mailbox. help!!!!

The calls to my home from this number are unwanted and I want them to stop.

I got a call from them saying it was for free magazines and gave me and order number. 1 min later a manager called demanding my credit card for shipping fees.I told him I did't use it and I wasn't paying. He said I had an order number and that I had to pay with a credit card. I told him good luck with that and to take me off his list

Got a call from them today at 11:30am and they said they were calling for my credit card company and wanted to sell me magazines. Told her I was on the do not call and why was she calling me about magazines. She said "You aint on my list" I said I don't have to be I am on do not call and she said "well I guess you arent on all the lists" I said you don't understand I am on the nationwide do not call registry..then I said what company are you with.....long pause and she hung up.

I called back to keep getting a recording saying the number has to have a 1 when I dial it which it did I think its their voice mail telling people to dial a 1 first because when i called back again same message.

I reported a complaint on the do not call registry page. I hope these idiots end up in jail. Seems like a lot of people get called.

If anyone out there has the guts (i don't) start a class action lawsuit and I will join as I am sure many others will.

Called me by my first name and asked for some basic information (age, industry i work in, which credit card I prefer) then said I'd be getting magazines for free for five months along with a free stay at a vacation area (they were very vague) for being a preferred credit card member (didn't mention witch card).  

They hung up and about an hour later I received a call from the first caller's manager who knew my middle initial and asked for the expiration date on my credit card when I told him that I would rather not.  He then became irate and insulting telling me that there was no cancellation policy and I was essentially stuck.  Seeing as how I was not warned about a no cancellation policy and the fact that I had not authorized any payment, I told him to stop calling me and that I will not entertain anymore phone calls, I then hung up while he yelled at me in the background. The first call was creepy and the second call reeked of scam, I'm definitely reporting them, this company is dangerous.

They have called my house every 10 minutes for the last hour. When I first answer, they hung up - havent answered since. I have filed a complaint with the do no call list to stop the calls

This number has called me today 1-206-629-8639 4 times. I call back and get a females voicemails. I would like to know what kind of company this is and why they are calling!

Calls everyday.  When I answer I hear people talking but no one speaks to me.  I am on the Do Not Call List.  This is getting annoying.  When I call back I get a women's voice saying I have reached something Publishing and that the mailbox is full.

Didn't recognize the number but answered anyway because my parents own a business and get lots of calls pertaining to work, and upon doing so they said MY name.. I live in my parents house still! They started to say some bogus stuff about a free magazine subscription I would be receiving in the mail and verified my address and credit card (visa, mastercard or discover) they didn't ask for the credit card number, but I told them which one I used the most when asked.. will that be a problem?? These people knew MY name and my address. And we're on the do not call list!

I have been receiving calls from 206-629-8639 2 to 3 times per day for about 5 weeks. They will leave no message and will give no information when asked why they are calling. I have told them I do not wish to receive calls yet they continue to call. I have filed a complaint with the DO NOT CALL REGISTRY>

Called me today about my magazines I am receiving. I told her I do not receive any magazines. She informed me that I do to receive magazines. My answer: I am sorry. I did not realize you were checking my mail for me. After you check it, you must take the magazines because as I said, I do not receive any magazines. I then told her not to call back.

206-629-8639 calls my home incessantly. I answer and they hang up. If I dont answer then they will not leave a message. I reported them to the DONOTCALL list. Maybe that will help

They have called 5 times this weekend so far, finally got a person to talk to me.  Gave me a name, and they represented Publishers, and wanted to confirm name, address, phone number, and then wanted credit cartd information.  I told her that I had fcc monitoring the phone, and she had called a dnc number.  She hung up.

The same story since today June 19th 2007

They just started calling today. Called twice so far, and both times, hang ups. Actually, this second time they called, I could noises in the background,and then it hung up. I did call the number back, and also got a female recording saying the box was full.

Just received a call from this number. Answered and no one was there. I live in San Diego. Anyone else?

Male asked for me, my daughter answered, said I wasn't home, he hung up immmediately.

If it shows up on your CC statement, call your card company and report it as fraudulent charges. You'll get your money credited and that company will be charged $60(ish).
