Lady asked for me by first name, and said she was calling on behalf of an initiative that supports background checks on gun sales. Believe she said her name was Katie. Asked me if I supported her petition.

Rec'd on 08May2014 to my mobile phone. Did not answer as # unrecognized. Phone went to VM, but no message left.  Filed as scammer.

Looked up this number and it appears to be a Christian Kjargaard at LinkedIn.com.  Never a msg.  Annoying!

Some j***off calls from the number above for one ring. No one is on the line. OUT OF AREA call.

Rec'd a call from this number and since it didn't go to voicemail, I knew it wasn't anyone I knew - filed under SCAM.

It sounded like someone making a personal, friendly call to my husband...except that nobody my husband knows calls him by his first name. And he really doesn't know a lot of young women (or if he does, they're smart enough not to call me). Local-accent well-enunciated voice, no sound of phone bank in the background, so it almost sounded legit.

Called me but didn't leave message. I saved the number under "Scam" so it comes up in my caller ID if they call again.

This number called me. I answered. Only silence on the other end. I hung up. I didn't try calling it back.

Nobody on the other end. Called back and phone hanged up after 1 ring.
