Others are right! TOTAL SCAM. US Gov would never tell you to go out to get a debit card. Also...seeing "No Caller ID" made me suspicious...so I told the caller I wasn't home. ;) He persisted & acted like I WAS the one they were calling. They said since I "was a good person w/no criminal record" I deserved it. (roflmao) He also used my husband's last time for mine. In my taxes & other gov stuff they all know I use my maiden name. This guy had no clue. Very poor English...could barely understand him.

I love money and I need it really bad right now I'm going through tough times so teasing me with money is just cruel. I really had my hopes up for no reason I am such an idiot but at least I didn't buy that card and reading all of yalls comments makes me feel way better. I told these people to just give me the green dot card and they hung up on me. I tried dozens of times to call them back on mine and my girlfriends phone but can't get in touch with them. I just want them to answer their phone once so I can say the most meanest racist death threat ever.

just got this same call and i acted as if i was falling for it and gave them a 14 digit number which is what a money pak number is. they are the refill cards that people use to put on their pre-paid visa cards basically what these cowards are doing is, finding people who are having hard times or desperate enough to give it a try,and throw caution to the wind. then once theycall back and give these people the money-pak number in those 10-15 minutes they tell us it takes to get our 7,000 dollars they refill their greendot pre-paid visa's and abra-kadabra!!!!!!! they are 200 dollars richer and whom ever the lucky person is who fell for it not only gets denied their 7,000 buit they are beat out of $200 dollars as well< SO HAVING SAID ALL THISA PLEASE!!!!!!! PEOPLE DO NOT FALL FOR THIS CLASSIC SCAM!!!!!! BECAUSE THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT THIS IS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We just got a call today from some joker named Adam (I don't know any Indian dudes named Adam). He said (as everyone else) we have 7000 coming. My poor hubby isn't used to these scams but I am. I called the number back from a different phone and no one answered (201-801-1737) immediately ole Adam called my hubby again and said his manager is waiting for my hubby's call. Hubby hung up so I called and someone answered but never said a word. I started screaming "where is my FN MONEY!!!!" still no response. I told this sucka to send me the money but he still wouldn't respond. I have no idea who in their right mind would fall for this but if you do, you are a tool just like Adam :)

I got this same call with UNKNOWN caller id. He gave me the same line about the $7000 grant money from the government and gave me the number 206-801-1737 to call and speak with his financial manager. I went online to look up the number and it is linked to a scam.

I just received a call from these people. They also claimed to be from the "united States of American". I played their game and took myconfirmation number down and called this number. I told them I wasreturning their call and gave them the confirmation number I had been given. They read back my personal information and told me they would be sending me a check within 15 days. I thanked them and said goodbye but they quickly asked me to call them back when I got my check. I don't think that I will hold my breath until I get the money but it will be interesting to see what happens. At no time did they ask for any info that was private or that they did not already have. I am sure this is a scam and would like to know if any one knows which poiice it might be reported to to stop it. I am sure that there is some way these people are are cheating unsuspecting people. In the meantime it is fun to see how far they will go to try and get something from me.

They called me today claiming the same $7,000 grant stuff. They gave me a conformation number and a phone number to call back. I did not call them back because I figured it was a scam and of course it is if they are asking you to send money.
Keyana 2014-04-25 00:28:56 Unknown
Yes Received this same call today. They have been calling me for a couple of days now from an unknown number but they always called me while I was at work so I couldn't answer. But today they called me while I was on my break so I answered and this guy who sound like he was from China told me that I was chosen to receive a $7,000 grant from the government they said that the government did a poll for people who paid their bills on time and who do not have a criminal background and who have not filed for bankruptcy. Then the guy gave me and number to call along with a money conformation code that I would need to give when I called the number. So I called the number and another person answered and they sound as if the was from China as well I then explained the reason why I was calling and they wanted to go over my information I then asked them if this was a scam and the person who I was speaking with hung up the phone. So I called again like three more time and they kept hanging the phone up on me and the I called with my number blocked and then I finally got someone I told them what happened and she told me that I had to call with my number showing on the caller id. So I called from my cousins phone and I went through the process of explaining what happened and I asked them what do I have to do to receive the money they told me that I would have to get a green dot card and then call them back and they would give me the money tracking number. I said OK is this a scam then lady then informed me that this is for the government and the government would not want to scam citizens the she goes on to say didn't you already call and I say yes but I continues to get hung up on then she says the closed you account I asked why she said because I called it a scam I then told her that yeah this is a scam and she then goes on to call me in her words "you are a f****ng bi*** you rude a** woman you don't call back here again this is a recorded line" I then say yeah you work for the government and this is a recorded line but you just cursed me out she then says "I know where you live and I have your number". So yes this is definitely a scam in my book don't ever call (206) 801-1737 in regards of a $7,000 grant or anything else for that matter they aren't even american
Alexis 2014-04-24 18:03:18 Unknown

Lilly 2014-04-24 00:00:54 Unknown

Paige 2014-04-23 20:32:02 Unknown
Is this true or do they just want your $200 you put on your card. I'm not to sure this isn't a scam.
Michelle 2014-04-23 17:39:40 Unknown
I normally don't answer calls with 'CALLER ID BLOCKED'. But my 2 sons are in the US Navy, so when they're deployed I answer any kind of number that shows up. And believe me, all kinds of numbers have shown up even though they're calling from their own Sprint cell phone on the accounts that we've had since they were young teens.
So this morning I answered, expecting it to be one of my sons. No such luck! It was the "Government of the United States American" (lol, yes, you read it right) informing me that I have been selected, along with 10 others, to receive a grant in the amount of $7,000. I can do whatever I wish with money. It's being given to help "stimulate me" (again, lol.... ME, not the economy, lol!!!) I'm given the number above to call and give them a verification code. Then they go on to tell me to go and get a GreenDot Packet, not just the card, and put $200.00 on it to 'activate' it, call them back at the number above with the verification code and the $7,000.00 will be immediately deposited to the card, within 5-10 minutes, and presto-changeo!!!!! I'm the proud owner of 7 grand!!! BTW, neither of them spoke more than incredibly fractured English,
