I just got my Verizon phone 2 days ago and I have gotten 2 calls today from this number. One at 10:42am and one at 1:14pm. Who is this and why do they keep calling?

the same thing happened to me, i got a verizon plan 2 days ago and recieved 2 calls, one at 10 in the morning and one at 1 pm.

This is weird.. I activated my service with Verizon exactly 2 days ago. I have received two phone calls. The first came at 10:14am the second at 1:17pm. I answered the first call but as soon as i did they hung up.

I got a 3rd call from this number and it wasn't a hang up. It is a verizon call regarding the new service. They want to try to sell you more services..

I got this call two days after my phone was activated.  They hung up when I answered.  I also got a call from 401-450-9926 and the same thing happened.  It's pretty annoying.

I just ignored it and refuse to answer

Received this call three times in 2 days. It started 2 days after I activated the phone. It called me three hours apart.

I am at work and don't have a signal in my office.  I went to turn off my phone at noon cuz I forgot this am and I had 2 missed calls from this number.  I just activated my Verizon phone last week and now today I got two calls from this new number.

i got this call which i didn't answer, when i googled it i found out it's some sort of scam. I just activated Verizon service.

This call is legit.  It is Verizon calling with an automated tutorial on using the phone.  Some of you people are real story tellers.

It was not my phone, but a friend who is on the same bill as I am. The phones were activated 4 days ago. He has recieved 6 calls from this number. He did not answer the number, but it left a blank voicemail in his inbox.

just activiated my phone 4 days ago. got this call today, no message. kind of annoying

I did report this number to Verizon in an email.  They got back to me the next day.  Here is a copy of what the email said.

Dear (MY NAME REMOVED),

I am sorry to learn of the unwanted phone calls you are receiving. My name is Roy and I welcome the opportunity to assist you.

First and foremost, I would like to welcome you to Verizon Wireless. We are
excited about your decision in choosing us as your wireless provider.
This number is for the Verizon Wireless Message Retrieval Center. This message is simply to review your new service and the features of your Verizon Wireless phone.

We appreciate your business and thank you for using Verizon Wireless products and services. Should you have additional questions or concerns, please reply to
this e-mail.

I too got a new cell phone last week and this number is showing up on my caller ID.  I live in PA. and know no one in Seattle.  I will try and report it to Verizon.

I just googled this phone number as well.  They have called me twice today without leaving a message.  I activated my service late last week.  What kind of fraud are they practicing, does anyone know?

The same thing has been happening to me.  Just got activated last week, and now this week they are calling daily.  I didn't recognize the #, so went on the net and checked it out...getting annoying to say the least.

i jsut got a call from that number too. i didn't answer it but i decided to google the number to see who it was and that brought me to this site. and i just activated my phone about 3-4 days ago.

I just got this call as well - I didn't answer it. It's a number from the Seattle area. Thanks for the heads-up on this - I just activated my service 3 days ago.

I just activated my phone 3-4 days ago and this number also called my phone. This morning and again this afternoon. First time I answered It asked to hit "1" or something to proceed with the call claiming they were from verizon and I just hung up. 2nd time I didn't answer as it annoyed me. Decided to search for the number through google online and found this site. Don't answer this call if you get it and report it to verizon's fraud department. Got this call this morning. Refused to answer it.

I too got this call...three times in one day all several hours apart.  I tried calling it back and it told me it was my voice mail.  I thought it was wierd so I didn't enter my phone number when asked.

I got the same call as a new verizon customer.  I called verizon and they told me that the number belongs to XO communications and has no affilidation with Verizon.  DO NOT GIVE THIS NUMBER YOUR INFORMATION!!!  It is not Verizon and he said they are now investigating

Verizon called me right after I activated my new phone. When I answered the automated voice reminded me that the call wasn't using up my airtime?blah, blah, blah?.I hung up because I don?t need this information.
