I was looking for a loan for $1,000. I got online and filled out an application. I go the same call telling me to go to Western Union and send them $85 because of my credit report. This I could understand because my credit needs some help. After they got this money they called me back and told me I had to send them $165 via Western Union and I would get it back minus it from my loan amount to pay back.Once I did this they wanted me to send them another $165 because the money was blocked and the only way they could get the money was for me to send the another $165 to unblock it. Western Union said they allready got the 1st $165. Now they said the only way they can refund my money is for me to send them another $100. What a SCAN. and I got took.

Just received a similar call. (October 20, 2011) I was promised $15,000, but needed to deposit $150. Said I had to go right now to the Western Union. They suggested they would stay on the line with me for about 5 minutes, that it would take to confirm my account, and then my money would be sent to me at the Western Union. What a joke. Too good to be true!
I don't know of the government working this way. The two people who spoke to me, supposedly the agent and her supervisor also had strong Indian accents.

Just received a similar call. Said I had to go right now to the Western Union...can't wait until tomorrow. The location they told me to go to was a bank which was closed. I was promised $15,000, but needed to deposit $150. They would stay on the line with me for the 5 minutes it would take to confirm my account, and then my money would be sent to me at the Western Union. What a joke. She even had the nerve to call me back to see if I had left the house.
If this legit, then I just lost $15K, but I highly doubt the government works this way. They also had strong Indian accents.

Just received call from the "IRS"(yeah right) saying I was given a grant of $20,000. All I had to do was go to my closest Western Union and deposit $149. Callers had thick Indian accents. I told them send me a check in the mail, to which they responded we've had a lot of theft with the mail. LOL. I told them how about I send you $22 instead of $149 to which they said it had to match the amount they were giving me.
I wanted to believe I won something, good thing I don't trust anyone.
