What was the purpose of what she was doing? She did it to me to!!! I just don't understand why? She got nothing out of it.

I've had numerous calls this week on my work number. It's 207-496-2008 that's calling me, and on my caller ID it shows up as "CNSMER RESRCH" . I haven't called them back (nor do I intend to) and reverse lookup says it's a number in Caribou, Maine! I've never taken or applied for a payday loan, so I don't know wtf they're doing ... but I'm not gonna answer them!!

keep getting a call says he is Brandon Williams from Thomas K Crowe Law Firm in Washington. Looked it up there is such a law firm but no Brandon associated. He also has an accient that makes it hard to understand. He gives me my husbands name and threatens to have  picked up at his work and home and taken to the courthouse. Been calling me for about a week. Keeps leaving messages that he will be arrested and taken to courthouse to answer for himself. Says he has documentation that he has a payday loan that he failed to pay back. Each time the amount of the loan and repayment are different. He called again today. Knows a social security number(which is not my husbands) and address, birthdate(which also is not his) email address and bank account information. Now he says it is from 2009. Looked up numbers on this sight and found 2 out of the 3 he called on.The other 2 numbers are 714-441-8691 and 817-259-0892. He even put someone on the phone today that was suppose to be his supervisor by the name of Ronald Jackson. I just want them to leave  me alone. Talked to a Sheriff of County that says they have had at least 10 reports in the last two days. If you know how to get them to stop harrassing me feel free to let me know. FED UP

Called my home and work harassing me about a payday loan I never paid back. I never did a payday loan and the guy tries to telling me I'll be arrested if I don't pay it back.He claims to be some officer from a law firm, has a thick accent and is hard to understand.

a woman name jennifer can't barely understand her she call 3 days in row threaten me with jail time said i commit frud and i didnot about payday laons not repay i fill out apps but never recived any cash or laons the number is the same as above 207-619-5976 wish me luck and told me i be getting lock up any time for not paying on these laons i never recived. just got another call just now from her as i am typing this coming from portland maine.is there any charges i can press against these people as i am ill and making me more stress where now have to see dr and more test on thur cause unabvle to do anything cause of threats.also calling people i know threaten them as well.

Has anyone had any actual trouble with these people?  I mean they can only hurt you if you fall for it, right?  I am wondering how fun would it be to just give them all b***s*** information every time they call.  "Ooh do you need my social security number too? What about my bank account information, do you want that??  How about my email password??" and give them total b***s***.  That is, only if you have the time for such nonsense.

About every 8 months I get calls from these people. I have tried to be reasonable, I have tried telling them that the SS# they have is not mine, now I started yelling back at them until they hang up. Last night they hung up on me and when I called them back to harass and yell at them more, they had set it where my number wouldn't ring through to them. Just giving them a taste of their own medicine.

This is a complete scam-DO NOT TELL THEM ANYTHING OR GIVE THEM ANY INFORMATION. They aren't in this country so you do not need to worry about them coming to your door or your place of business. I have told my employer what is going on and the ladies who work our switchboard are also now yelling back at them.
They are a bunch of total idiots who seriously think that if they harass you enough you will break down and give them money so they will leave you alone. I have called the State Attorney General, local police and the FBI and every organization is aware but not much they can do as the calls are actually coming outside of the US and are just being routed through to different #'s.

Yes, I was confused at first about the call. He used the name Officer Justin Floyd and said him and his crew of officers were coming to my job to arrest me and my manager for fraud! LOL! I said I will be waiting for you there. Then he went on to say that I owed for a payday loan and to get the matter resolved I need to fax over my credit card information. When I refused to do that, he asked for my account number. Wow seriously?? I just laughed and refused that info also. Thats when he got upset and started yelling. I just hung up the phone. I am going to the police station to file a fraud report on the advise of the Portland Police Department. LAPD will forward all the information to them. I also saved the voice mail "Officer" Floyd left me. The number he called me from is 207 619 5976. And he also has a heavy Indian accent.

I got a call from Max Morrison this morning. Same scam. he threatened to take me and my references to court. He told me that the loan was taken out last year and what account the funds was received in. I knew automatically he was lying because I opened the account up three months ago.  When I told him that I had graduated from law school recently he hung up on me.

I received a phone call at my job from a male with a heavy indian accent saying that if i dont pay that my manger and I was going to get arrested. I asked where he was calling from he said from a Sheriifs office and then he changed it to a lawyers office.  he just keep on saying if i dont clear the matter that i was going to get arrested and my work place with my manger.  He asked if i had a debit account.  I ask if i can Western Union the money he said yes.  i then asked for the information and he started getting angry and he told me I would have to call once I reach the location where i will do the transaction right there i knew this was a scam.

I just got the same type of call from Max Mar from the law office of David Harrison (207) 619 5976, I did not take out a loan with anyone, but I did apply online, but did not go throught with the loan or sign any paper work.

he hung up on me as well, and said he was sending the police to arrest me, and my employer, would not give me any information about the so called loan, and said to be in court in 20 minutes (LOL), what court where and who.  Just hung up on me when I asked these questions.

I just received a call from Max Morris @ work and a call from Baker & McKenzie Law Office on my cell. Same story... They said they will take me to court...and all that.

HI just recived a call from 6620618207, a heavy accent indian guy I dont understand what the heck he is saying, cant even talk correctly. He said Im calling for Lisa Lisa, thats not professional if your saying you calling from a Max Lawfirm something David harrison. They rcvd a compliant with my name and SSN, and an investigating officer will come and take me to courthouse. I have to call him back at 2079165976- He said disgard this message and give hima a call if I dont call back something will go wrong with you!!! WTF this is b***s***, first he is not professional , he cant even speak english, and if it was the urgent the police will knock on my door already! Hello dummies!!!

I have received many calls and voice messages from the above number.  The man at the other end has a very difficult-to-understand accent and I can barely understand what he is saying.  He tries to speak in english, but can't seem to do it very well.  I agree with Funky Spaceman.  This has got to be some kind of scam, otherwise I would have been notified by Registered Mail of a pending legal suit.

I got the same call from someone with a heavy indian accent.  Told me that he's a police officer and that there is a law suit filed against me and that I need to call 207-619-5976 at the law office of McKenzie.  I told him that if he really is a police officer, then he should know that ANY law suit filed against someone are notified in a form of a supbenoa by mail or hand delivered..not by the phone.  I told him that if he calls back I'm going to forward the number he gave me to the FBI for attempted fraud and impersonating a police officer.  Hasn't called back........lol.......

Don't pay any attention to it.  If he calls you back tell him what I just stated here and that should take care of it.

But  now she is calling my work too.  Does anyone know how to report this to a higer power?  I cannot have these people calling my place of employment. She also gave me the fax number to send with a letter stating that i am going to make payments as well as my photo id.  I do owe money to the orginal pay day loan and all most fell for this but then recieved another call at work and on my cell from a diffrent company stating the same as stacy and his name was justin also with a heavy accent. This is a scam. The same man with a thick accent calls me a few times a week. The other numbers he uses are 760-269-3824 209-912-2108 and 205-417-2414. Sometimes he calls himself Jack or Zack Logan and sometimes he says his name is Alex Xavier. A few times he has been both in the same voicemail. He always threatens to arrest me and my manager if I don't return his calls. The FBI has a warning about this type of scam on their website. This has been going on for months and I called back the first time. They said I owed $1000 for a pay day loan and that i had to fax them my credit card number along with a note promising that I wont sue them (ummm no!!) They still call but no one has come to my home or to my work. They are just trying to scam you.

I recieved the same phone call from a Max Morrison who was very hard to understand. His a accent was also East Indian and he told me that he was representing David Anderson Lawfirm and that cops where coming to my physical address to arrest me. I asked what address, and what for and he refused to give me any information. I contacted my attorney and they stated that it sounded like a debt collection company and they were very unprofessional including hanging up on my attorney. I am trying to get information that matches. First his name is Max Morrisan from David Anderson, than he is Max morrison form Bakers and Mckenzie, than he is Justin Crowe from another law office. Very confused...

A man of East Indian accent gave the above as a callback number, identifies himself as Ofcr Justin Crow of the legal firm Bakers & McKenzie and says that William Wallace needs to call back by tomorrow morning.

This num keep calling me talking about its an officer and I need to call bac or be arrested,called bac rings endlessly no voicemail no answer. But its sound like a ten year old on the other line. Annoying!
