I screened this unknown number. The voicemail was a computer generated male voice that said, "We may call back later." I don't plan on answering.

It's a political survey.  The area code is Boise Idaho.  It's election time here in Alabama.  Wish I knew which candidate/party.  I would make sure NOT to vote for them for harrassing me.

same here....but they have called at least a half-dozen times.  always the same message, wanting to know if I think Barack Obama is doing a good job as POTUS

You would be very surprised what this commandant and chief would authorize. I live in Northern Illinois and we got the same call a week ago.  Some political survey.  They left a message that they would call back later.  They did and I hung up on them before they could say a word.  No calls since.

You've got to be a moron if you think Obama is responsible for placing these calls.

They're calling Chicago (312) land lines now.  I've seen enough of these - highly unlikely it's the "legitimate" RNC or the DNC calling for your opinion on President Obama. It's some 3rd party fringe group on either end of the political spectrum. Or perhaps more likely - it's a straight up phishing scam. If you answer the phone they'll start asking for dates of birth, social sec. #'s. etc.

Got a call from this number this morning - no message left.

Another annoying call at just the wrong time of day.  It's dinner time, JERK!  I would never buy anything from these people nor answer a survey if this is what this "clown" is calling for.

Just "Remember in November" and we still want to know "Where's the Birth Certificate?"

AMEN.  Obama and his entire administration have no class and certainly no respect for American citizens.  I agree totally .... this is uncalled for and one more demonstration of their desperation.  I will be more than happy to vote my opinion in every local and national election from this day forward.  I have no intention of participating in this or any other poll.  I too am in Illinois, just across the river from St. Louis .... connection?

I assure you I am not listed with the DNC.  I am an Independent voter in Illinois and the calls are landing on my land line answering machine.  I'll be watching this thread to see if someone is able to do better than I have on blocking the calls.  Sure looks like Obama is in "desperation mode" these days.

If anyone finds out how we got on this harrassment list, or how we can get off, please post your solution here.  I am sick of it too.

I certainly have an opinion on that matter, but I don't appreciate being harrassed by an auto-dial system.  Obama is the worst President in history.  Hopefully, they're reading our notes and another call to my number will be unnecessary.  I'm in Illinois and the call is not hitting a Verizon phone.  Very annoying.  I am on the no-call list, but I assume His Majesty does not fit the criteria for call blocking.

I have been getting calls from this number for weeks with some idiot message on my answering machine like "Do you think Barack Obama is doing a good job?"  Before I can scream 'HELL NO!" it hangs up.  Not sure where this is coming from, but I do have an opinion the Obama clan won't like and I don't appreciate the calls..

They just call me . . .  in midwest, Illinois, just across the river from St. Louis.  What part of the OBAMA staff doesn't understand being on the "NO CALL" list?  
That might give you a hint about how much he has respect for you privacy and the law!  Take the HINT, USA!

If it's a political survey or a call from someone who wants to tell why you should vote for their candidate, or why you shouldn't vote for a candidate, they are exempt from the DNC list.

If you have call blocking, then use it to block the number.
