If this number is calling Canadian Residence who have registered their phone on the Government's Do Not Call list, do you think we could make a complaint or would it just be useless as this is likely a scam?

RE Mike, June 9***************ATTENTION SOLUTION FOUND***************
I just called Alexander Dent at 1-404-345-0117. He sounded genuinely surprised that his company was causing any kind of problem.  He said to call his receptionist at this number 1-321-256-4025. He went on to ask me to be sure to use his name and to call him back if my name was not removed from the list. I told him my story. I hope this works. Thanks Mike.

Card Services- MGA Accellerated Services Inc.
Located in the States – connected with Visa & Mastercard.
Called 5:55 pm EST  July 14, 2009
I asked the girl to put me on their  DNC list. She was rude, and would not disclose a name, supervisor or address, she said it would take a month to remove my number.
I told her to bring it to the attention of her supervisor – that my name should be removed forever and that after Aug 14th 2009 at 5:55 pm – I will press charges with harassment if I get another call.
I dialed *57 to register & flag the call – I also called the operator and explained the situation.

If any CANADIAN LAW STUDENT needs a thesis - they could help with a class action suit against the CRTC for allowing these harassing companies to use our utilities.

we do uphold the do not call lists, thank you very much. for tyhose of you people who blow whistles in our ears, IT IS ILLEGAL! if you record the phone calls without our permission IT IS A FELONY! we do try to tell people that it will take some time to get the phone number out of the computer system, but half the time you people don't listen. now, i myself personally am getting quite tired of this. i do not wake up at 0600 every morning to get to work to be called "a stupid cow", a "damn scammer", or, my personal favorite, a "motherf***ing c***sucker". now, if you are nice to us when we answer the phones after you are connected to us from our computer system, we will be nice to you and put your number on the list. however, we are instructed to hang up as soon as people start using offensive language, or start being, well, jerks to us. WE ARE NOT YOUR SERVANTS! WE ARE HUMAN BEINGS TRYING TO MAKE SOME FORM OF A LIVING! WE ARE NOT SCAMMERS! and the "rediculously high fee", yeah, that is an absorbed fee. there is no out of pocket expense. and i personally think it is unfair to the new people that they are being cussed out for what older employees have done. there have been employees fired for not doing the job properly. i will be returning to this site daily to see how many people listened to me, and to see if there are any questions. i will ask my boss if i may bring some do not call sheets home so i can take requests on here as well. but may i just say now, it does take some time for the computer to drop the numbers. should you recieve a phone call from the company after you have put in the request, just hang up. pressing any buttons will reinstate you in to the data base. thank you, and have a nice day.

hey renee f. that girl was probably me, and if you think i was rude, then i apologise. i was not trying to be rude, but we do work on a 100% commission basis, and you kept prattling on and wasting my time, even after i'd told you i had written your number down.

I understand being frustrated about phone calls, but if you are not interested, simply have your number placed on the Do No Call List. This does not make the company a scam.
And to the people complaining about calls on a holiday......"Victoria Day"..."Boxing Day"....SERIOUSLY GUYS??? Believe it or not, life goes on like normal on these days for most of the world, so you'll have to excuse them for continuing to do their job!

How many out of them are old folks without a call id , that have to get up and take your damm call, and listen to your stupid message????Or disables pepole??? Can you explain the bs of the "absorbed fee" work? it's just a scamers way to say it's a charge on your credit card, you guys can't do s**t, even the banks in Canada warning consumers not to deal with JPM, what are you? a magician? I didn't want their comission knowing that pepole getting robbed, oh...poor baby getting up at 0600...and being called "scammer" get a job that you'll be proud of, and you won't be called scammer. Also, whatever you all do is illigal, calling pepole who do not wish to be called is against the law!! CANADIAN PLEASE, CLASS ACTION LAWSUITE!! THEY NEED TO BE STOPPED!!!

Always starts with an automated voice saying there is no problem with your credit cards but if you want to lower your interest rates press 1. I have pressed 1 and informed them that I am on a no calling list and asked to be removed from their callers list, but still the calls continue. Is there no way to stop these annoying, harassing calls?

I have received calls from this number as well. They are rude and aggressive. Last night my husband took the call he is a police officer with the local police departmnet upon telling the agent that and giving his name and badge number the agent hung up several minutes later a person named Alex called us and said he apologizes for the mannerism of his agent and he will have our number removed immediately, this remains to be seen.

I'd been called repeatedly by this company a few months ago, and finally demanded to have my phone number deleted from their list and any other list they may have access to.  Furthermore, they did not have my permission to forward my number to ANYONE.  I also told them I'd registered with the national DNS line (which apparently is how this whole saga stars - that's another story), but they told me it'd take up to 30 days before I'd actually be removed.  After 29 days, I stopped receiving calls from them.  They've just started again this week. When I press "1" to speak to an agent, I get about 4 words out (trying to establish "I am on the Do Not Call List") and they hang up on me.  I've also tried calling THEM to complain, but of course their line is always busy.

Not sure what recourse there is - but this is very frustrating and annoying.

These idiots called again, they must really like my fax machine's tones, as that's all they'll ever hear. :-)

As for "Current Employee", blowing whistles (personally I prefer the Fox 40 pea-less whistle, as you can't "overblow" it) into the phone is 100% legal.  You can send any sound you want down the phone line.  As for recording phone calls, if you've called into a one-party consent area, your wrong again.  Why don't you go get a real job, as shark bait.

The only one committing a crime is you who are calling all us people on the Do Not Call list.

Got a call today from the company with the automated message regarding a low interest credit card and to press 1, etc to talk to an agent.  Seems like they are still at it despite the duration of time since this was first reported.  Its amazing how slow the law moves...

Hi to all of you I am a former employee from athe the time Jpm then Mga and now WCS. What they do is and is not a scam. for the price that they are charging yes it is not worth it I worked on the business side that actually lowered the rate and all the Financial advisors as they are called do is look what low rate cards are avalible at your bank and tell you to ask to change from your current card to that one. You can do all of this on your own. You dont have to pay anywhere from 495 upwards of 995 USD to have some one tell you what to do. For example CIBC only goes to 11.5%, MBNA has the prestige line of credit at 6.9 upwards to 9.9, RBC at 11.5%... ETC... go onto the bank website and do your own research. I'm telling you this because they also screw theier employees over, I was screwed out of 1800.00USD, which they are now being sued for! But again dont pay do it yourself!!!!

Hey Current Employee w/ legal problems,
If your a fronter or closer you have no idea how the program works you just read off of your little script. The absorbed fee is not absorbed the people are charged and then the interest rates are lowered but yet that charge is on the statement and they do pay interest on it. Absorbed my a**. Oh and as for the DNC lists ya'll dont havd them in and you probably aren't smart enough to know this but there are more then one call programs that they run. And if Scott,Alex, and Paul are still there you can tell them to go suck a big fat hairy c**k, because they are all pecies of shi**.

Got a call this afternoon and saw the number displayed as a long distance call. Picked up and heard a recorded voice at the other end. Something about credit card. I just left the phone on table and continued with my work. Came back minutes later and phone was disconnected.
I think the best way to do with these guys is to leave the phone on until they finish. After all it's a long distance call. They have to pay.

I still continue to receive these calls, and will be interested to see if the Better Business Bureau will even receive a response from the company (I am in hopes that at very least if enough complaints are filed that they may be able to take some sort of legal action???).
I find it very interesting that in a few of the posts, calls have been made to Alex Dent, that a person in his position would not be aware of the concerns within his (his wifes) company. How can having 20 complaint to the better business bureau and a rating of F - be a suprise...I mean come on (how oblivious can one be about the internal working of a company. Any company that works within the telemarketing sector has call record/monitoring by a supervisor - to ensure the quality of the calls are met (again...business 101). I would call Alex in the effort to get me off the list (if that truely works...for those who have tried...have you received any calls after ?) However I am not willing to to pay any money to make this call...anyone have a 1800 # for office extensions within that company?

So I called 1-888-878-1014 and guess what the calls continued. So I figigured I'll call again and again and again asking to be removed. After talking to "Cathy Neil" explaining that there "do not call list" does not work and guess what they started to get angry at me. Now I said to myself I have a good thing going here so I caled again asking for the person who can remove my number if they were not capable of removing the number. And now I am being yelled at by a telephone marketing person. Like it is my fault I am being bothered by the. So I called again. This is starting to be fun.
