Said they were calling from some broadcasting survey company, did I have 2 mins to answer some questions.  Told them, no and g'bye.  I am mean like that.

This number calls me almost every day. How can I stop the person who calls me ? I am not interested to answer. I am living in Norway.

Got a call from that number today, 23:d august 2011, number 2088618682. Wasn't at home so I couldn't pick up. Live in Sweden.

Pretends to be from BBC television, do not believe them.  Speaks very quickly, hard to understand person.  Dodgy!!!

I am Italian, and I got one call from +44 20 88 61 86 82 on my English Vodafone mobile phone yesterday, I could not answer, they left no message.

Phone here twice in Co Durham, England but didn't answer, any idea what country it's coming from?

Looks as if they've started again. Multiple calls, will not answer, maybe a scam call to hook you into high tarrif numbers - beware !!

I live in Slovenia and I got this call few minutes ago. I was too late to answer, but thanks to Matthew I know who they are and what they want :) I just blocked their calls. :)

Was called twice from that number on the 12th of March 2010 but i did not answer due to not knowing who they were, since then they have called me 42 times i have a block application on my mobile so i can just reject them when they try and call me. They are a massive pain

I called the number back (02088618682) and got their answer message. It turns out that they are the market research company called Ipsos MORI and are well known in the UK. (UK residents may recognise this as we often hear things like 'eight out of ten people asked in a MORI poll preferred...' etc.)

Hatte auch in den letzten Tagen 4 Anrufe von eben dieser Nummer. Mindestens 2 davon mitten in der Nacht gegen 3:00. Ich vermute, daß dahinter ein Faxspammer steckt, der inzwischen auf allen von mir beruflich und privat genutzten Telefonnummern versucht, seinen Faxmüll zu versenden. Darunter befindet sich auch eine nie von mir genutzte oder weitergegebene Rufnummer, die niemand außer meiner Telefongesellschaft kennt.

Habe diese Nummer nun in meiner Telefonanlage auf die Blacklist gesetzt. Mal sehen, ob's hilft.

habe gestern die Tel Rechnung bekommen ,da ich die Nummer zurückgerufen habe ist nur ein Auslandsgespräch mit 4cent verbucht ,sonst nichts neues.
Ich denke mal das das ein PC macht gibt ja solche Programme da auch wie ich sehe Handys angewählt werden .

Bei Stern Tv war letztens ein report über so eine ähnliche nummer.Dort haben die einer älteren Frau dann ein Paket mit hoher rechnung geschickt...Sie hatte aber nicht bestellt!!!!

Habe auch schon mehrere mal einen Anruf von dieser Nummer auf dem Telefon gehabt ,ist doch england oder ?
Wo haben die die Nummer her stehe ja nicht im Telefonbuch .
Wie kommst du darauf das der Rückruf teuer wird ,hattest du schon negative Erfahrung ,habe auch zurückgerufen aber sofort wieder aufgelegt .

The number was on my display, so I called back as it was in my office. As I have a lot to do, a British number is normal for me.
The answering machine pointed out to their company on the internet. Something like ......dash Murray in Edinburgh. Seems to be a recruitment agency, if I understood the fast words correctly.
