I guess this person is still up to thier same tricks, I just wish I had seen these posts sooner. The texts I recieved where from a "John Peck" claiming to be in Connecticut. I even gave him my email address please dont anyone else make the same mistake!

I just got a text about a horse I have for lease. He wanted to buy it and wanted it shipped to Connecticut, I told him that our transaction was over and that he wasn't for sale, yet he kept texting me about how he was going to pay me. I have since then ignored him, but I'm not surprised to see this is not the first time. He's now playing a security agent from Connecticut.

Just got the same thing from the same number, only they are supposedly living in conneticut now. Lol

Had a dress listed on Craigslist about 3 months ago, got a text from this # saying they wanted it and would pay 30.00 more for me to ship it, and they would send money order. I asked what size ( had 3 available) and they never responded. The ad expired , and I recently renewed it, and this morning I got they exact same text message. I said no thanks and have not heard back. SCAM ARTIST!

Got a text from this # wanting to buy a dress I had listed on craigslist and then wanted to send a certified check to pay for it plus $50 extra and said they would handle the pick up!!!! They said they live in Utah and use to live in dallas but its a california #.I did not give them any further information-

I just received a text from the same number- I too had a dress on craigslist I am so tired of scammers! From now on I will not reply to anyone who is not local or wants to meet me and try the dress on- this is ridiculous-Same message appeared on my text about living in Utah and sending extra $50 for me to hold it blah blah blah-

Same thing here! I google everything. Particularly because I listed 3 bridesmaid dresses and they say, "what is the size of the dress? And best price?"

Ok thanks, so have you changed the western union info to Deana's name  you dont have to stress yourself the dress can be picked up at your place Deana will.  The Shipper is going to pick up the dress at your location and you have the money to the shipper cos with out it they wont come and pick up the items.

Not all buyers on Craigs list are scammer.... But you know the ones who are by the way they type the message... "ur dress still sale" ... I post on mine that all scammers will be turned over to the police.. 6 months ago i posted this dress and got checks from 4 people... I turned all 4 checks over to the police and all 4 were scams...... I now post...... must pay CASH AND MUST PICK THE DRESS UP ON THAT SAME DAY.......

DO NOT TAKE A CHECK LADIES.... NOT EVEN A LOCAL ONE, YOU RISK LOOSING MONEY when the check bounces

Same thing - messaged me about my wedding dress. Got another scam message the same day. I Googled both numbers. Good thing these sites are out there. I knew right away not to bother with either one.

I put a wedding dress for sale on Craigslist.  I got the same text messages as the rest of you.  They want to send me a post money order.  I called the number, it is some man, yoou can't hear him well through the rapp music....My first clue.

Same thing happened I got a text say they wanted to buy my dress and would pay an extra 50 for me to hold it for them, they would pay a cashier check and handle shipping also said they moved to Utah and their job was security. I text back asking to call them and never got a reply back then. Always do your research before selling anything online.

Thank you so much. I had the exact same experience. Posted a dress for sale on Craig's List and they told me they were interested in it. Fortunately for me I saw this post before I talked to them any more.

Same thing happened to me just now. I am pretty skeptical of interested parties from craigslist postings since I constantly get scammers TRYING to put one over on me. Anyway, googled the phone number and saw the posting below. Thank you for posting your experience so I didn't waste my time with these low life idiots that don't want to get a real job.
