They keep calling and calling..who are they?

Did not leave a voicemail. I returned the call, at first it didn't even go through.  So, I called again, and received a error type busy signal.

Called about 7:30pm PST.........(I never answered).......................got a feeling "I wasn't missing anything.........

I answered the call this time and they said it was for Special Olympics.

I got a call from 209-320-9642 caller ID said CASON AT 7:53PM ON MARCH 4th.

Same story.

CASON is CAlifornia Special Olympics Network. They want your money.

Same here: CASON on caller ID.

I have received FOUR calls, no message.  WHO IS THIS?

Called me at 3:35 PM 11/22/09.  I let it go to answering machine and no message was left.

Get an air horn, get a person on the line, talk quietly so they listen, use air horn.

(be kind to your neighbors by informing them this is what you plan to do to telemarketers, buy one for the little old lady who gets harrassed by them)

Just got the call today at 11:26 am.  A woman with a southern accent asked for my husband by name (he has a lawn care business).  He wasn't home so she said goodbye.  I came to this site as I have done in the past.  Thank you for your posts.  Next time I will use my air horn.

Got a call from "CASON".  Area code: 209  Phone number: 320-9642.    They are reported to be a company that contracts with non-profits to solicit donations.  When I was called all I heard from the answering machine was a very loud, "Hey, y'all!!", then they hung up.

Got a call from Cason tonight at 8:30 p.m.  Assuming that the previous poster is correct and this was a charitable solicitation, it was my third "exempt" call of the evening.  So much for a quiet evening at home.  

The caller mangled my name and I immediately told her in no uncertain terms that I did not want to be called ever again.  She asked me to hold on for a supervisor -- ARE YOU FREAKING KIDDING ME? i said.  Within a few seconds, the supervisor came on, and confirmed that I wanted to be placed on a Do Not Call list (I told him i already was on the DNC list, I wanted to be on HIS DNC list).  He assured me I would be removed.  

Let's hope it's that easy...

CALLS AND HANGS UP WITH NO MESSAGE

Called and didn't leave a reply when I answered.  Didn't answer when I called back.

Same as other reports, did not answer. If they call again I will add them to my blocked list.

Got a call from this number, with caller ID "Cason", like the other reports.

Hung up.

Call at 6:43 pm tonight.  Did not recognize the number, so did not say anything.  A female came on the line, said something unintelligible, and hung up.

209-320-9642 (CASON) is a company which solicits donations for various cause which hire them. My most recent call from them was 6/2/09 on behalf of Special Olympics. Anyone responding to such an appeal should realize that less than a third (sometimes much less) actually goes to the "Charity."  Your dollars would be much more valuable if you sent it directly to the charity (look in the Yellow Pages). NEVER make a donation by phone using a credit card.  You do not know who is really calling you and your information may be compromised or misused. The "Charity" may have a name that they have made up based on recent news events (like "Firemen's Families Fund" which supposedly was to help the "Families of Firefighters" in Southern CA. Your best response: let the number go to your answering machine. If you do answer it, don't engage in a dialogue with the fundraiser. Just say "I do not make contributions to phone solicitors" and hang up.

Live person called at 8:30 pm asking for donation for some children's group.

Called twice on 4 march 2009 and did not leave a message on my machine.  Called 6:30 and 7:30 pm.

The name "Cason" and the phone number 209-320-9642 left on my caller I. D. Cason has called several times. It is an unwanted call.

hay want to help you all out here is a couple of answera to help with this if you answer and say hello and no one is there start hitting the star key as fast as you can till you hear the disconnect beep this will confuse the computer that is calling and it wont call back also if some one is trying to collect moneys and being faul to you just say these words to them I AM TELLING YOU NOW AT ( TIME OF DAY ) TO CEACE AND DESIST WITH YOUR CALLS be firm in saying it to them because by law they now have to stop calling you by doing this it was recorded on there end and now must use the mail and that would cost to much for them good luck

Rec'd a call 02/08/2009 @ 1:51pm PST from CASON.  Let it go to answer machine.  Could hear background noise and voices like from a call center, then call disconnected.  Figured must be some sort of sales group.

I have received 5 calls from this number in the last 3 days on my cell phone number. It's always a hangup. I've called the number back twice, during office hours, and the message says that it's a company that "helps" nonprofits with their fundraising efforts. In otherwords, telemarketers. I have no idea why they call so much and hang up. If anyone knows how to make these jerks stop calling, I'd love to know.

I too get these unwanted calls 2 to 3 times a day at home!  Is there a way to stop them?

Every night about 8 P.M., caller ID says CASON with the 209-320-9642 number listed.  Thought having my number on the no-call list would slow these people down...the answering machine is a good filter to throw them off.  If you cak reduce the number of ringd before the machine answers you can start costing them money to hit your number.

Rec'd a call from Cason who wouldn't leave a message.  How did they know my name?
