this number call me during work, i do not pick up

Phoned would not leave a message. No name on display. Always phone at wrong time. I will not answer such calls. Not from Canada these calls.

they call all hours of the day, under different numbers. Even as late as Sunday after nine. Its always the same. If I am a senior citizen...blah. blah blah.

For the last while I have been getting 2 calls a day from this number.  Usually I let my answering machine screen these calls for me, but it gets annoying to hear my phone ringing. I didn't want to use up all my call blocks and not everybody has a phone with that feature.  What to do?   I picked up the phone right away (to avoid getting dead air) when I knew that it was this number calling again.

I heard a short pitch from an automated female voice ( not much longer than a minute) talking about seniors falling blah blah blah.  I was prompted to press one particular button on my hand set if I was interested in their "free"  item (nope) and then prompted to press another button if I did not want to hear from them again (yup). An automated male voice  then confirmed that I would not be contacted again.  I had the same experience with  204-289-1756 - same automated pitch, and same option to opt out of any further calls.

Well, its been almost 3 glorious days since I opted out of these calls  - no more contact!  I'll post again if these numbers start bothering me again but so far it's been very peacful.

Obviously we all have the same problem.  I phoned CRTA enforcement and spoke with the lady named Margot.  She explained the situation quite well to me;  in turn I told her I'll inform the public and hope to benefit others.  These are the advice she gave:
-  do not pick up the phone for a call that is not familiar to you, especially area codes of 707 and 412..
-  if you happen to pick up the call, don't press the button the robot/caller instructs, because they may very well obtain your phone number this way.  Many of the criminal callers actually don't know your phone number.  They called by "spoofing off" dormant phones of different countries and eventually reaching  Canada and USA.  Also these robo callers can only call a group of 10 at a time.  They have to move on to find the next victim if you continue to ignore them.
-  never engage with telemarketers.  They could be involved with criminal activities.
-  if possible, do record the phone number and date the call was made to you, and complain to Do Not Call List Canada (on line or phone) even though it doesn't seem like they are helping.  Margot told me they received thousands of calls a day, which CRTC collects for subsequent investigation.  If the calls were from USA, then it would be handed over to SCC (counterpart of CRTC in Canada) for investigation.  The process is complicated but apparently they have cracked some criminal cases.  The last such case was April, 2013 as related in the CRTC website.

I have read all the messages above and I have the same problem with the 209-322-4078 and they call more then once a day and now have gotten a hold of my cell number, not a happy camper.... I see all the complaints but how come there is no one to help us with a solution on what to do to get them off of their mailing list.....this has to stop.  When I answer there is no one there and then they hang up.....something should be done...?????

I was getting the same call (begins "are you a senior?" and then I just hang up) from the same couple of numbers last week.. I started blocking them with the blacklist service on my phone, and since then I seem to be getting MORE of the same calls but from different numbers...

I wonder if they have a way to tell that they've been blocked and then they change up the number they call from..  It's irritating as hell, and basically harassment.. Yes, if I've elected to block your calls then I'm certainly going to be pleased that you've found a way around that and I'm going to be happy to give you my business because I respect how smart you are..

I get these calls at least daily, sometimes 2 & 3 times, always the same thing, If you are a senior, blah blah blah, well I'm not a senior so stop calling me.   lol

Called my house a couple of times.  I was able to use the honeypot I set up on the IP phone system within the DMZ behind my firewall to capture their source IP address.  These dummies do not obscure their internet address very well.  I am triangulating their location uses different Telco hotspots.  If I find the location it will be reported to the FCC and FBI.  If not the IP address will be subject to a denial of service attack in the next little while.  They called me without invite and for no purpose.  They messed with the wrong number this time.

Tired of a dozen calls a day

Keep getting calls from this number.  When you answer they just hang up.  Can't seem to get them to stop calling.

It is irritating that this no keeps calling us.

I have had six calls in 15 days from this same robocaller re Senior Citizen blah blah blah; but from 5 different numbers.
I am running out of slots on my blacklist feature.

They don't leave a message or name; Don't  know anyone in California.

I receive calls from 209 322-4078 2-3 times a day nearly every day. Other identifying number on call display is V40510271704428. The first time I answered the call it was about seniors falling in their homes so I hung up.  Since then, I have been answering the phone to try & identify the company and get them to stop, but they hang up after I say Hello.  They call morning, afternoon, & evening. They're driving me CRAZY.  Can't something be done?

I get multiple calls a day from this number - saying if you are a senior and asking to push a button for information on some insurance or something. It seems like a scam for sure.

Hung up as I answered.  I called back and got a busy signal.  Who the hell they are is a good question as I get nothing shown on my name display.  Must be pure harassment!!!!

Phone rang. Then went to answering machine. They would not leave a message or name just #V40420365204438.

Same message that comes from 707-723-4478 about seniors falling. Twice I have asked them to put me on the do not call list. The guy told me (very rudely) that I was receiving this call because I had checked off a box somewhere, sometime, about being contacted for offers. This is BS, because I never, ever check those boxes. He said, I will read to you what you checked off. Then proceeded to read it very rudely, with attitude. I didn't even argue the fact that I never check those boxes because he wouldn't believe me anyway. I just said, Take me off now. And hung up.

11:30 a.m. in Winnipeg Manitoba, Canada - I got a call from 209-322-4078 too - only the number showed on my call display - I didn't answer it as I get many annoying ad calls even though I'm on the Canadian National Do Not Call List - someone in this forum mentioned credit fix auto-calls - I get those from other numbers as well, except - my credit is not broken or mismanagaed! How do I get on their to call list.... unless of course it's all simply raandom??!! I think this is reason enough to tighten all of my personal info even more and be even more catious who gets every day info like a phone number - who knows who's selling what list to who??? Crazy man! Sign-O-the-times I guess! Or should I say it's the ring/call of the times! groan...... :)

Unwanted calls, very annoying especially as they hang up after two rings and leave no voice message.

This number has called so many times,  tried all different ways to stop them,  different times of the day. its mostly this number, and it comes through as V4032211550026,  its scary when they also call a relative who is still at home with Alzheimers.  their the most vunerable people that they approach.  Hopefully something can be done about it.  Specially when the call is from California, and were in Ontario.  It has to do with seniors falling etc. etc.

Different phone # but with same caller as : V4032211550026. There are many different phone # with this same Caller: V4032211550026.......Something is fishy here.
