I got a call from 209 383-4296 on my answering machine but with no message.  When I called the number back a few mimutes later, the phone company said it was "no longer in service."

same thing here. They just called, and hung when the phone was answered. I called them back and the number was no longer in service. hmmmmmm

Yes, we answered the call by mistake, the lady was very pursint on us taking the sunstar again, would not take 'no' as answer, kept up her sales pitch.

How do you know this about the merced Sun star? Did you answer the call and actually speak with someone  or did you do some research and find the info?

We received a call from them today, found it was some one from the local newspaper, the Merced Sun Star, they where calling trying to get people who used to take the Sun Star to resign up for it.

I did a little research and found some person by the name of Toby Brown with with the number 383-4296 keeps calling every once in a while, but hangs up when I answer the phone.
