Got call from 1 210-308-0700 but they left no message

SEEN NUMBER ON CALLER ID, NO MESSAGE LEFT.

Missed a call from 210-308-0700. left no message. caller id says TX State Trooper.  i looked it up on yellow pages and the number belongs to a telemarketing company out of San Antonio, TX called Statewide Calling Inc. My number is on the "Do Not Call" list...doesn't that mean them too???

got the call from them and they hung up too!
get it from them every so often.

this number 210-308-0700 left no message but the ID shows caller as SWA.

got a call on 2/25/08 from this number,they left no message. When I called it back it's a fax machine.

Received 03/12/08 from 210-308-0700, they left no message.

Called tonight at 9pm.  They hung up when my answering machine picked up.  Caller ID was "Support Center".

Called but left no message on voice mail

Called left no message. Caller ID read it was TX State Trooper?

Call comes in on Caller ID, Says "Support Center" Probably trying to get around the Federal " DO NOT Call list" and the state one.

Have recieved calls from the number the last two weeks or so but this time caller id says "Support Center"

They called looking for my husband's first and last name. Would not say what company they represent and would not give me their number. He said just wanted to tank him for support ????  Rude people. Someone should do something to stop them.... Now I know they are telemarketers just calling where they shouldn't

receive numerous calls caller id says "support center" i would think someone calling on behalf of texas state troopers would have DPS on caller id or lik e poster abovem state of texas...

Just got a call from them.... My caller ID said "S W A".....I didn't answer cause I had no clue who it was, but isn't 210  A California area code...is it even an area code at all?!!

EDIT-HOLY MOTHER OF GOD....That area code is the same area code from some guy who keeps calling people I know and yelling at them in spanish!

When I answered, they hung up.

Digging into peoples' past posts here on 800Notes, I can recall getting calls from these people before.
Telemarketers asking for donations for TX State Troopers.

Blah.

Gotta say, I love clicking the button on my little Zenith EZHangUp.

I work with the Texas Department of Public Safety and get calls everyday about this.  People advised me that their caller ID states "Tx State Trp" and they're afraid it may be a Trooper calling about a loved one being hurt or killed in an accident.  Just to let anyone reading this know this is NOT a state office calling.  If a state office were calling it should have State of Tx on your id.  There IS a Texas State Troopers Association that contracts a telemarketing firm to solicit funds.  Some DPS Troopers are members but not many.  

Two things to keep in mind:
1. The state of Texas is NOT going to solicit funds via a telemarketer, the state already gets your tax money.
2. It is not a common practice for DPS to call and notify people OVER THE PHONE that a loved one has been in an accident.  They will tell you in person hence the DPS campaign "Stop the Knock".

I hope this clears up any confusion.

I got a call from these same folks yesterday.  They are soliciting funds for the troopers.  Probably 50% of any donation goes to the telemarketing company.  If you're interested in making any contributions I would contact the organization directly.  Why give 1/2 your money to a telemarketer?

Got one myself tonight. Same deal: TX State Trp - nobody said anything. Called back - no answer.

Received a call from this number and caller ID said "TX State Trp".  I didn't pick up and they didn't leave a message.  When I looked it up, I found that number listed for (a telemarketing srvc) calld Statewide Calling, Inc., 2329 NW Military Hwy, 78231.  There's also a car rental agency at the same address, so there must be a suite number as well.  Doesn't seem like they should be posing as Texas State Troopers!!!

got a call tonight at 730 pm...same thing...just hung up.  I called back and it was either busy or kept ringing.

called me at 7:38 pm tonight and left no message

got this call yesterday, i answered in the last ring, and they hung up...caller id say tex state troop

Called at 5:50p.m.(dinner time), and caller left no message.

"TX State Trp" was on caller ID. It's all!
