On my cell.  Message was completely garbled.  Left this number and made out at the end that it was important that I return this call...

Got a call from the number and despite the fact I have a very clear message saying I am not available and to leave a voice mail the troglodite on the other end continues to sit there saying hello again and again before finally hanging up. Dont even know what the hell the call was about.

It is the general number for any company leasing space in the office complex at:
9800 Fredericksburg Rd. P San Antonio, TX 78288

This includes USAA (Credit Card), Wetfeet.com, Texas Best Computer, and I assume others.

I work for USAA and this is the outbound number for our phone systems.  calling it should go to an automated phone system.  the 800 alternate number is 800-531-8722.  9800 fredericksburg is the hq for USAA, a google map inquiry will show a rather large building, and no one leases any space from this building.  anyone else claiming they are located at this address may be fraudulent, and be weary of any callers not identifying that they work for USAA

So, they called again.  It was an automated message that USAA was calling and to hold for a customer service representative.  When they came on the line, it turns out they were calling to ask about a payment that was five days overdue for my home equity loan.  My payment was in fact overdue.

They did not ask me for any account information or other personal information.  So, at least for me the calls from this number appear to be a legitimate auto-dialer tool used by USAA to contact customers with overdue payments on loans.

I've received and not answered two calls from this number on my cell phone this morning.  There have also been FIVE calls to my office number from an "Unknown Number", which is unusual and an unlikely coincidence.  I haven't answered any of those either.

No messages left on either phone from these missed calls.  If I get a call on either line again, I will answer and see what I find out.  It smells like someone has gotten a hold of USAA customer data and is now calling around trying to collect account credentials.

I received a call from 210-498-2211.
Reportedly from USAA, she asked me for my password for verification purposes, but did not want to specify a reason why she was calling me to begin with.
Why would I give someone my password while being called from a strange, apparently non-USAA phone number, and the person does not want to tell even a hint of why s/he is calling?

I have received 2 calls since yesterday from 210-456-1811 and 1 from 210-498-2211.  It started when I called them yesterday from my work number about one of my accounts with them (my work number is not listed on my account).  

Very strange, and I am afraid it will keep going now.

It was USAA, forgot to pay my credit card bill....

It says USAA, but this number doesn't translate to any number listed at USAA's website.  The recording asks me for my account number - WHICH SOUNDS VERY FISHY TO ME!

I'm going to call usaa with one of the numbers from there website just in case it's legit, but I don't think so.

Keeps calling with no message - thanks guys - USAA should leave a message since I am a member - no idea why they are calling.
