For those who have received these phone calls from (210)570-5422: this is a VoIP number being run through the company Bandwidth.com. While bandwidth is a legitimate company they recoqnize that some users have their service for illegal reasons. Whoever this "Mark Brown" or "Alan Smith" or what ever, he stole my boyfriends personal information. Everything from his social security number to where we live and where he goes to school. While this is quite frightening we are handling it. If you do receive a call from this number then DO answer the phone and write down as much of the conversation as you can. After that go to bandwidth.com and use the link at the bottom right of the page to go to their legal department. There you can file a formal complaint so that they will look into it and hopefully press charges. Thanks to all and be safe!!!

My daughter received a call at 5am this morning from this number. Said she had $2000 she owed in payday loans, of which part was true and apparently how they got her information. They said there was a warrant out for her arrest. They convinced her to pay $500 with prepay debit/credit card. They continued to call say there was an officer on they way to arrest her, even gave a name "Sean Anderson" & "badge #1397". I called the local sheriff's office & police dept & confirmed there were NO warrants out for her arrest & was directed to google the phone number which brought up this site. For everyone out there, NEVER give $ based on threats of warrants, NEVER give $ based on phone calls only. This is a huge scam & the 2nd call this morning to the local sheriff's office with the exact same situation.

My son got a call just now from this effing jerk - Upset him to no end = Got a call from this number saying his name was Mark Brown from the state attorney's office and told my Son there was a lawsuit against him..The thing that concerns me is he had my SS#.Banking Info- Saying my son was going to be arrested at any moment - Gave a Case Number Ect. When he came & told me I looked up the number - Because it sounded fishy.

This phone number called my wife this morning. They said that in two hours she was going to be arrested by the Sherrif's office and that a motion has been filed against her in our local courthouse.  This same thing happened to me a couple years ago and I have yet to be arrested. We went to our bank to get records to show she did not get a payday loan and the lady at the bank said it was an extortion scheme. She said something similar happened to her and that the police will just push the case to the side because the Feds will say they have bigger fish to fry. I would love to report it, but nothing will be done. It's sickening to read all of this and see that others are going through this as well. My wife was all worked up because she has never committed a crime in her life. We are good law-abiding people. If you get this call, DO NOT give up any money because you will never see it again! I hope what I wrote here helps someone and gives them peace of mind.

They have done the same thing to me and even told my kid when she answered the phone that if my kid did not go and get me that they were going to arrest me and take me to jail and that she would never see or hear from me ever again. They call all the time and when I did have my lawyer call them back they hung up on her and I always say right away that this phone call is being recorded right off the bat and they still hang up on that too. They told me on July 3, 2013 that they were going to show up at my house on July 4, 2013 and I told them to go ahead and show up I'll be waiting for you to show up and oh by golly no one ever came to my house. I am tried of these jerks scaring the crap out of my kid like this, something needs to be done to stop this jerks. And the caller was telling me it was for bank/wire fraud on a payday loan that I had taken out and I NEVER DO PAYDAY LOANS, and that they had all of my information and that the US ATTORNEY GENERAL WERE THE ONE'S PROSECUTING ME IN FEDERAL COURT AND IN THE COURT SYSTEM OF MY COUNTY THAT I LIVE IN. ARE THESE PEOPLE FOR REAL? THESE JERKS CALL ME AT LEAST 4 TO 5 TIMES A WEEK SINCE THE END OF JUNE THE BEGINNING OF JULY OF THIS YEAR, ENOUGH IS ENOUGH ALREADY WITH THESE JERKS!!!!!

THE SAME THIS HAPPEN TO ME THIS MORNING THEY CALLED MY CELL AND THE MY JOB. I COULDNT REALLY UNDERSTAND HIM AND HE SAID HE NEEDED MY ATTORNEYS INFORMATION BECAUSE I WAS BEING SUED. THEN HE READ OUT MY ADDRESS AND SAID THAT WITHIN 45 MINUTES THAT THE POLICE WERE GOING TO GO AND ARREST ME OR COME GET ME AT MY WORK PLACE. I KNEW RIGHT AWAY THIS WAS A SCAM BECAUSE THINGS DO NOT WORK THAT WAY AND I TOLD HIM THAT. HE JUST GOT UPSET AND TOLD ME NOT TO SPEAK TO HIM THAT WAY. I ENDED UP HANGING UP ON THE GUY.

I TOO GOT THE SAME CALL AT 7:44 AM THIS MORNING AND I GUY STATED I HAD THREE CRIMINAL CHARGES AGAINST ME THATS ABOUT ALL I COULD UNDERSTAND I TOLD HIM I WAS CALLING THE COPS HE SAID WELL IS THIS THE LAST FOUR DIGITS OF YOUR SOCIAL SURE ENUFF IT WAS WHAT DO I DO??????

The representative called me 16 times back to back, then repeatedly called my work. He did not give his name. He called several people in my office looking for me and telling them that there was a motion against me. I talked to him twice on my work number. I told him both times that this is my place of work, and he was to not call me here anymore. He had a THICK middle eastern accent, and it was hard to understand him. He mentioned that he worked for Russell Miller attorney at law, and there was a motion against me and they needed my attorneys information because I owed them money. I hung up on him after telling him to not call me anymore. I have several voicemails on my personal cell phone lasting several minutes long and are threatening me with court and jail. The latest voicemails are even longer, but they are just dead noise. This same person has been harassing me all day and has been calling me back to back.

I just got this same call on my work and home phone number Alan Smith to call back immediately.  The thing that concerns me is he had the last 4 of my social security number!!!! I don't know what to do about this although thanks to the notes I will lodge the complaint and not fret near as much as I was...they told me I owed 8487.00 for some debt to a company I have never heard of and when I kept asking questions they told me "screw off" and hung up...but it was my work phone so I have recorded the conversation!

The sell your information to business is how they get everything and then call us bugging us this the second call I have got since Monday I got scam on  Monday with different number he said I had a pay day loan. His name was Juilian Marsh with this number 713 370 3814 it another scam too. I send 300 and 122 a total 412 I am hoping to get my  Money back from them too. Scam Scam stupid people and they get a magic jack to have a US number too.

I got a phone with the number 210 570 5422. This morning but I didn't answer it the guy left me a message said his last name is Williams and I need to call him back right away. Because they have information on me and I could go to jail today if I don't call him back today. another scam I got scam already not again ever. One of my friends has been doing research on these scrammers they buy the magic jack so they can have us number is why but he had foregin accent too.

This is a criminal extortion scam operating out of India. They are making the calls utilizing VOIP and the names of legitimate firms to make it appear the calls are originating from within the US. There is NO "company" or "debt" and you will NOT be arrested. They are harvesting and/or buying consumers' personal identifying information from unscrupulous websites like the one you may have filled out an application with, and you need to do whatever you can to protect yourself. This includes: Notifying the FTC: https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/, placing fraud alerts with all three credit bureaus, notifying your bank and employer and letting these criminals know you are aware they are attempting to extort money for a non-existent debt and have alerted the authorities.

Got a call from this number saying his name was Mark Brown from the state attorney's office and told me there was a lawsuit against me. I had dealt with this man over a year ago and threatened me to the point of causing my blood pressure to rise and chest pains. My roommate had to take the phone from me and got into an argument with this man. This is not a good call to get into because the man is very threatening.
