Started Receiving calls from this number, beginning at 4:10am PST.  As of 3pm PST, have received 23 calls from this number.  It's the same, every time.  Dead space/silence followed by a hang up

My call was just like the others listed here except the called hung up when I asked what her name was. How rude! Caller stated they were with the Super pages.

They call all the time and won't leave a message. Thank goodness for caller id. I never answer the phone from numbers I don't recognize.

Got a call from 212 266 5369 - I have verizon they offer a free block of numbers 5 - limit - I'm going to try and do that.

I have received 2-3 call's per day from someone claiming to be from verizon wanting to verify 2 listings as well and when I advise them I am the one who handle's this and that we do not have any nor ever had any verizon account's they hang up on me.

I too keep getting calls from this number. I picked up once and told them to put me on their do not call list, but the man got really ugly with me and I finally hung up on them. Not 2 seconds after I hung up, they called right back. I didn't answer. Also, the man had a pretty thick accent. What can be done to stop this?

I keep getting repeat calls from this number, and stopped answering it when the individual calling, supposedly from the yellowpages, had an accent so thick as to be incomprehensible. I've continued to receive calls daily, and decided to answer today to tell them to stop calling.

I got a male, again, with a strong accent, who would not take no for an answer. Very pushy about my need for more customers, when he clearly did not even know the business I was in. When I indicated my lack of interest, and said good-bye, he kept talking.

Having read the posts here, I tried calling back, and got the Verizon Wireless message that the number was out of service. I really think it's Verizon's problem, but can't imagine them doing anything about it...

I just got a call at my business in Marion, MA asking for information about our verizon account.  Just like you, noise in the background.  I said if she wanted anything, she would have to ask for it in writing.  She got very rude at that point, and then I got rude and said I would report her.  She hung up.  Who can we tell about this?

Got two calls three days ago. Today I'm getting a call every 20 minutes, haven't answered a single one. It shows up as "unavailable" on the caller ID and if you block anonymous calls it shows up as "212-266-5396 New York NY" Obviously a scam of some when they spoof a phone number for the caller ID.

I have received several calls from this number, it rings once and hangs up. Very annoying.

You get the number right, you call back... they call forward to a disconnected line.  If only we could do that to them!!  I also received the calls from 212-266-5396. I would assume they are a slamming phone service with a boiler room operation!  Very low on the food chain.

Got a call from this number.  Sounded like a lot of people talking in the background, then the lady just started laughing hysterically and hung up.  Some people are so rude!

The last owner of my cell number had a mini-blind business and even though I have had the phone for 2 years, I still get calls for her. You would think if this is a sales call from Verizon, they would know it is no longer a business phone. haha! I tried to call back and got a message saying the number was a no longer working number. Hmmmmmm

Left no message and I did not call back...just checked here and glad I did.

Verizon Yellow Pages trying to sell internet search service or something like that, it sounds like a big scam.
They start off by verifying your details and then you get passed on to a supervisor to confirm your details, but they pull a selling act on you claiming that they can bring in business for you based on internet searches for your company or products. They are rude and speak English poorly. I take great pleasure in annoying them with BS when I am not busy.

Have gotten repeated calls from this number.  Always "disconnected" when I call back and try to get removed from their call list.

Claimed to be Verizon Yellow Pages.  They are going to save me lots of money by charging me for all sorts of advertising that I do not need.  And, I don't advertise in the yellow pages....but they claim I do.

Unpleasant and rude!  As other posters noted, the number is disconnected upon call back.

Today I had the same experience as reported by Martin above on 6 Feb 2009.  A woman was asking for the person in charge of accounting or making decisions.  

Tried calling the number back after seeing this 800notes.com post, and sure enough, I got the "Your call cannot be completed as dialed..." recording.

**People are constantly calling my job number and hanging up once the phone is answered. Once AGAIN this afternoon I received a call and upon dialing "*69" I got this number..
When I called back, it claimed to be disconnected. What's this about???

I received two calls in a row. I could hear background noise but no one spoke.

Just got two calls from this number on my voice mail - conversations in the back ground - no clear message left.

Caller claimed to be from Verizon Yellow Pages and said we have two entries that they needed to verify the information for. He wanted to speak to owner of company. I told them that I was responsible for the phones and the owner would not speak to them and the caller hung up.

Upon calling this number back it is disconnected.
