Got a call asking for my boss.  When questioned for his name and then his company it was given very quickly and hard to understand. When I tried to take a message, he asked for my boss' cell phone number.  I didn't give it.  He acted like they knew each other.  Asked for my name, too.

DOUCH.  No doubt you are "Nick from Troy Orlando's office with an urgent message".  What do you idiots think the rich person who you just interrupted at his beach house is going to do? Invest with you?  Not likely.

Oh really, you are such a "big boy pants" investor, you just happened to stumble in here to laugh at the peons.

I have a question for you, if you are such as wonderful investor, why are you out there making even more money, instead of shilling on Internet forums.

You better get back to the boiler room, before you overseer grounds you and takes away your crayons.

JH Darbie from NYC calls two owners of my company all of the time. There is normally someone saying get so and so for me because I've got someone specific name waiting on hold. Their time is extremely important so hurry.

It's really ridiculous.

Some woman called our company this morning.  The boss happened to pick up the phone.  Her accent was so thick, he couldn't understand her and, seeing it was obviously some kind of cold-call, he hung up.  Caller ID showed J.H. Darbie, which is some kind of investment company out of New York.  As for JT above, I do believe the FCC prohibits companies from cold-calling you on your cell phone.  Nicole, I'm not sure if it applies to calls made to businesses but calls made to consumers ARE covered by the FCC rules about such matters. From the FCC's website: "Whether or not your home phone number or numbers are registered on the national Do-Not-Call list, the FCC requires a person or entity placing voice telephone solicitations to your home to maintain a record of your direct request to that caller not to receive future telephone solicitations from that person or entity. The calling company must honor your do-not-call request for five years. To prevent calls after five years, you will need to repeat your request to the company, and it must honor it for another five years (and so on)."  Make sure you record who you spoke to and when you make your request.

Frustrating that my listing on the "DO NOT CALL" list cannot stop these calls. They use up my precious minutes on the cell plan. I had to give up texting (set up a block) because of all the text spams. I rarely text so did not want to pay for the plan.

I cant tell you how many of these calls I've gotten, i've called back twice to be put on the "do not call list" and each time the rep tells me there's not a "do not call list" and ends up hanging up on me. So frustrating!
