I work for InfoCision and as far as I know we dont make calls for ASPCA.And best to my knowledge the nonprofits we call for about the letters all that money raised from those drives go go the charities. They pay Infocision like $3 per completed phone call which is a call thats either a yes or a no.

They are a cancer to society and they should be eradicated or else they'll continue pretending to be any organization, profit or non-profit, and rip vulnerable people off.

Wow what a scam I just watched the clip and I am appolled that a company can get away with such a scam I just gave to the cancer funds several months ago and they were infocision tellemarketers. all scripted bull s***. they should be shut down and made to give back all the money they scammed from everyone. its worse than a posie scam.

IMC marks any hang up as a call back. Answer the phone, state your name, and say clearly "take me off your calling list'" Then they are legally required to remove you from the list.

Non-profit Organization
You guys don't know anything about this company. The ASPCA pays Infocision to make their outbound call. It's called outsourcing. It doesn't always have to be outside of the country. The people making the calls are employees at one of several centres across two different countries. Infocision is a Fortune 500 company and is actually very reputable. Major Companies and non-profits rely on Infocision's marketing skills to get messages to their customers or donors. If you've ever called the retention or billing line in Time Warner Cable, you aren't actually talking to TWC. Infocision does most of their retention and billing customer service. TWC also has contracted IMC to do their inbound sales. So next time you call to get your cable set up or disconnected, you'll most likely be talking to an infocision employee.

By the way, DNC lists do not count when it comes to non-profits and companies with whom you've done business. They are allowed to contact you at any time. Read your laws and do your research before you start throwing fits. You all sound like a group of paranoid conspiracy theorists. Get a life.

The ASPCA pays infocision to make donation and charity calls. They also do calls for the republican party, Rogers, Time Warner cable, and Verizon. Half the time you call TWC, you're speaking to an infocision employee. A percentage of the donations goes to infocision from all donation and charity calls, however, the majority goes to the organization they're representing. It is a weird system but a good company. They take good care of their clients and they're employees. So, don't worry about it being a scam. If you're that annoyed, call your phone provider and block the number.

I've been getting calls 5 days a week from this number for the past 3 weeks. I answered it once, and they asked for my wife by name. I told them she wasn't home, and they wouldn't leave a message. They never leave a message when the answering machine takes their numerous calls.

We have been receiving at least 3 calls per day. I have not answered the ones when I am home. Did a reverse number look-up and found multiple names attached to it. I figured it was a scam. I do not understand how they can continue to call numbers on the "do not call list". This is a helpful site. thanks. LTB

Like Rosie, I too have had several calls at all different hours from this number over the past several weeks. My caller ID shows Mana Infocision, a definite clue not to answer the phone! Too bad the ASPCA seems to have been dragged into this. These types of calls do become wearing after a while and one is tempted to pick up the phone and then press end, just to get them to stop. Please, will some legislator do something about these numbers that slip by the Do Not Call Register?

I have received at least 4 calls a week from this number for a month of more...when I see that number on my caller ID, I do not answer.  Then I started picking up my phone and putting it back down to maybe break the cycle.  When that didn't work, I finally answered and demanded to be taken off their call list.  The young man was very polite as I chewed him out and ended the call with a 'Yes ma'm

I am on the Do Not Call list since it became available.

I just today - April 1, 2009 -- got yet ANOTHER annoying hang up call from 212-608-0403. A reverse look up showed the number belongs to Johanna Cruz on Jackson St. in NY.  so I surfed around and found this site.. so now I know it is a solicitation thingy.. so tired of people wasting all our time with phony phone calls!!

I too have received numerous calls from Infocision,Mana. I never answer. Yesterday (29) was the most recent one. If this is a scam (according to others) ...why are they stiil operating? We ARE on a do not call list.

Great news - just heard back from the ASPCA.  They are getting "the ball rolling to stop this."

This all reminds me...I owe them a donation!

Thanks to all of you who took the time to post your research and experience with this phone number.  I just wrote to the ASPCA to recommend that they try to shut this woman down.  The organization certainly has the connections with the the police, and FBI and DEA due to their recent highly successful puppy mill raids.

I provided her name and address and offered my help.  I usually don't have time to do such things, but I am angry that they are disturbing me at home all the time and representing a nonprofit so they can steal the money.

Now.....back to work!

Thanks again!!

I just posted the above a few minutes ago and then started reading the other posts and went through all my calls received this past week on my caller ID and now see that when we received the call from "The ASPCA" on Wednesday 3/25/09 that the phone # was exactly the same one I just received but instead of saying New York NY like it just did on Wednesday, it said INFOCISION, MANA. Who are these people???

We have been receiving numerous calls from the number 212-608-0503 and they never leave a message. I just had another one come in 5 minutes ago and it is 1:00 p.m. here in CA on a Sunday 3/29/09. On Wednesday night they called and my husband answered the phone and at first no one was there and then finally someone came on the line and told him that they were from the ASPCA. We were eating dinner and although I didn't hear what they were saying to my husband but my husband was telling them that we are not in a position to be donating at the time and that we don't accept solicitations on the phone. Then I heard my husband talking about he would distribute fliers for them if they sent them to us but my husband did not provide our address and he wasn't asked. He asked not to be called again but like I stated above, they have called again.

the number 212-608-0503 is listed in reverse numbers as Johanna Cuz of 35 Jackson Street NY.  When she called she wasn't really relaxed as she said she represented the ASPCA.  I told her I'd seen this scam on the web and had no intentions of sending her money.

I just got a call from this number claiming to be the ASPCA and wanting me to accept 15 packets about them to hand out. This seemed okay until she said any donations would be sent to me and there would be an envelope to send the donations on to them. I promptly called the ASPCA and was told they would never call and never do that. If is feels like a scam it is a scam.
