Just received a call from this number.  Guy with Arabic accent about credit cards, how I try to make payments on time, etc.  I politely asked him to remove me from his calling list and he said, "Ali...ali..."  What does that mean?!  Seems like I got some creepy Arabic hex on me now.

I tried calling back as others have and get the "doo doo doooo this number is not in service."  Super scam.  And creepy.  On ID it just comes up "New York."  They called at least two other times before this and I did not pick up.  This time I did, and that's what I got.

Rec'd call at noon today 5/24/2010 from an Arlene Dirlam.  Didn't recognize number and didn't recognize name.  I did not answer the call, instead i looked up the number and saw these comments regarding this number.

I received my first call today.  I called the number back and it also gave me  message that number is disconnected.  WTF

I got a call from this number and the accent was middle eastern.  Asked to speak with Richard.  I told him he had the wrong number.  Then asked to speak with Richards wife.  Again, I told him he had the wrong number.  Then he got a little annoyed and said nevermind.

Received a call from "Adam".  He was speaking broken English and asking for my wife.  I asked , Who is this?"  He told me to shut-up.  He did not identify his company or purpose.  Very rude.

got a call from this number today.  Person sounded intimidating and wanted me to pay off credit card immediately.
I asked who it was and would they please identify themselves in a professional manner.
He shouted and me "WHAT".
I just hung up.
No information given to his creep.
Gotta watch it.

i get calls from these people every day.  played along with them today hoping they will get as tired of me as i am of them.  they say they are not wanting private info but they are.  definetely a scam.  i have reported this number but it does no good.  anyone know how to stop these calls?

This number has been calling us for two weeks; I know enough not to answer but my husband insists on answering.  Same as others with the accent, lots of noise in the background, and wanting to talk about our debt.   We are on the do not call registry so don't know why we keep getting all these calls.

Received a call from a middle eastern sounding man asking for personal information.  212-697-4366, nothing on caller ID to indicate who it might be.  Hung up.

I recieved a missed call from 212-697-4366 when I tried to call the number back it was disconnected. How is that possible. I looked through my phone and back in Dec. I recieved calls from the same number and it was a middle east sounding man that told me my ss# was at risk and he needed information. Dont give out any information to people from this number. I called my local police dept and reported them. I think it's a scam.

Middle eastern accent female concerned about my credit card debt. She should be worried about what to wear to court and deportation.

Received a call from this number. Suspected it as being bogus. Notified local law authorities. Caller had middle eastern accent. Projected himself as being a credit counsler. Lots of noise in background as if in a telemarketing setting. I call this number and got a recording saying it was out of service. Be aware of these frauds.

Got a cll from 212-697-4366. Man with a middle eastern accent. Spoke to me about credit card debt. I didn't give out any pertient infor but being curious about the call I call the number and got a recording saying the number was disconnected. Searched the number on Intelius. It came back as being listed to Arlene Dirlam and Verizon New York Inc.as being the carrier. Sounds like a scam..

Reliable Financial Services" is affiliated w/ IMG LLC, also in Gilbert AZ.  IMG has never heard of the DNC, and calls on behalf of United Referral Service, and many other debt settlement companies.  "American Financial" is their favourite phony entity name.  I've also gotten calls from Arlene, as have other posters.

Received a call this morning from someone who had trouble saying my husband's first name and was very difficult to understand due to his THICK accent.  He claimed even though we pay our credit cards on time, we have a lot of debt.  I asked where he was calling from and he wouldn't tell me.  I told him to take us off the call list and he said "Why?"  I hung up.  

Don't be fooled into thinking this is one of your banks.  This is obviously a SCAM.  I wouldn't be surprised if the call was coming from overseas, despite the New York phone number.

Just got a call from this number. I didn't answer it, and no message was left.

I have received MANY calls and I answer them each time telling them to take me off their list.  They CONTINUE to call back.  The first time they called, I asked where they were located.  The lady goes Florida.  I said that's impossible since I know the area code you are calling from is NOT a FLORIDA number.  They called me 3 times yesterday.  I just returned home from running errands and noticed they called again.  They say a different financial institution every time and they have heavy Indian accents.  I'm going to start having some fun now.  I'll just sit and waste their time as they have done to me.

Caller from this number w/ Indian accent saying my bank records show I have credit card interest greater than 6%.  Informed him I had no such account w/ BoA and asked where is he getting info from.  He hung up.

received several calls from this number. Once they asked for me by first given name which I don't use. Several other times no one answered when I picked up and said hello, but the line was open.We are on the DO NOT CALL LIST.

Same thing happened to me.  I am on the do not call list.  I did not recognize the number and didn't answer.  When I called back it immediately told me that this was not a working number.

Got a call from this number asking for my husband. When I said he wasn't home, and could I get a number and contact for my husband to call back...he screamed at me and hung up!

It is so aggervating.  But comical to a certaln point-  One guy from this # asked for my husband first thing I ask is what Company is he calling from? He says "That's not what I asked you".  I couldn't help but laugh, my response was 'Dude your the one how called my house'.  But of course he hung up.  On a SERIOUS NOTE -  I get these calls muli-weekly.  If they give my the chance to say remove me from your call list they always hang up first.

I've been getting calls from this number too, same debt scam. I managed to get some contact info out of the guy I talked to, and it is the company at the website below. I called the numbers on this site and confirmed that it is indeed this company that I talked to. I think they use a referral service to do the telemarketing though.

This website has the same address on it as a United Attorney Services, some debt settlement attorneys office or something.

I reported them to the FCC since I've already asked them to stop calling and I am on the do not call list.

Have been receiving multiple, middle of the night calls from this number. Finally was awake enough today to get to the phone in time, and they asked for my husband by his first name. I asked her is she realized that it was 5:30am in the morning here (Alaska) and she hung up. I asked my hubby if he'd paid all our bills this month just in case it was a wierd debt call, and he said no one should be calling us. Called the number today to see if I could figure out who it was, and it was out of service. I'm thinking about blowing a whistle into the phone the next time this happens - call me again at your own risk!!
