People in here are still complaining about the DO NOT CALL list. That is such a joke. These spammers can spoof any number they want to show up. I've rec'd calls from myself. In most cases it's no use calling the number back and cussing out the real owner of the number. They have no idea what you're talking about. Also.....you all seem sooo nice to them...."Please don't call me again." You think they are gonna scratch your number from their list?? Think again. I usually answer them and if I can actually get a live person....they don't like what they hear before they get the chance to disconnect me. Wake up, people.

Same as the others who posted before me.   I'm on the do not call list.   What a joke.   You can't get them to stop calling.  Caucasian girl called today.   I answered with a firm, business - like 'hello' & she promptly hung up.   Pain in the butt.  Calls from this  # frequently.

They've changed the scam apparently.  Now they are from Microsoft and want to talk to me about some illegal activity on my microsoft account.  When I told them in my best Hillbilly drawl that, "I aint  got no fancy "com pooter" they hung up.

I also got a call from this # but the caller ID said Jeffery Beers.  Seeing I don't know anyone by that name didn't answer it.  Just love this sight cause now I know not to answer it if they call again.

I just got a call from this number (Jeffrey Beers on the caller ID).  He said that my computer has been sending error message over the past few weeks.  I stopped him right there by telling him that that was not possible considering I no longer have the computer.  He hung up.

I got several calls from this number saying they had approved me for a $7000 grant that was to be deposited in my bank account. I only had topay $175 processing fee to get the money and they would deduct it from a debit or credit card.I said forget it and hung up. Foreign men with very American names.

Just got this phone call-they didn't leave a message.  I called back and get a message saying it was KB and there phone # had been poached...SCAMMERS

Got a call dis mornin n it said jeffrey beers 2127773455!!!! So i looked up the name!! He is famous architech or somethin similiar so i immediatly knew its a scam! Dey called bak n i told them i wasnt hme dey asked wen will i b available told dem n de evenin!! He had an indian accent

Just got another call....called the number back and theres a recording for KB Network News saying their number has been poached and to disregard all calls from that number!!!!

I normally wouldn't answer calls from strange numbers, but we just detected credit card fraud on our card this morning from NYC, and wouldn't you know it, this phone call was from...wait for it...area code 212 (NYC). I would love for them to call back so I can jerk them around a bit. :-* Love you, scammers.

I received a call from this number. Caller had a pronounced Indian accent and there was a lot of background noise as if he was calling from a phone bank with lots of others talking on phones around him. He identified himself as some with the government. I was told that I was selected for a grant for the government since I have always paid my taxes. The grant was for $5,000. He went on confirming my phone number and address and then asked me for my birthday. I refused to give it to him and he asked why. When I told him I was not buying this, he hung up.

The man calling identified himself as an officer with the US Government Grant Department.  He claimed that 13,000 US citizens are selected every year to receive a grant to use in whatever legal way would best benefit them.  These selections are made by random drawing based on the last 4 digits of social security numbers.  He claimed I had been selected to receive a $7,000 grant, which I would not have to pay back of course.  All he needed to complete the payment of this grant to me was either a checking or credit account to which the money could be wired.  I informed him that I was not going to give him my bank account information over the phone when I had not initiated this call.  He stated rather brusquely, "So, you don't want the money?"  I told him again that I was not going to give my banking information to someone when I am not sure who they are.  He hung up.  DEFINITELY A SCAM! I called this phone number and the company the number truly belongs to now plays a recording warning people that scammers are using their number as a front for their scam attempts...

this is a phone scam which originates in Russia. they are routing the calls through india, and claim to be in DC, even though the have a 212 area code (NYC) , i cornered them on this it is a SCAM SCAM SCAM  BLOCK THIS NUMBER if you can. I am going to report this to the FBI.

They just called and said they were from the the feederal government in washington and i was selected to receive a grant for 7000.00

I recieved a call from this number and they had all my info including my bank info? How do you stop someone who has all your information from taking money out of your account unauthorized? They said I was selected to recieve a grant from US Treasury in the amount of $7,000.00.

I received several of these calls, then I finally answered. I first asked if it was a scam, then they hung up. They are persistent lil nasties becausae they called again. So I played nice and got him a little bit off gaurd. I proceded to tell him I have called the FBI and said they are on the case. I did not, but whatever. Anyways, 'Mat-you', the person whom was trying to scam me, started to tell me that the police would be there and he is a goverment official. So I buffed up my bluff to call him on his, I told him I did not care about any B.S. govt official and that him and all his ***** can come get me if they wish to risk everything. I was not that nice....regardless he began to swear at me saying "F*k you, ya muddafugga. I adsjfqunfrgn dg dcvsdf gfdv(<forgeign dialect.)." And then as soon as I realized I had no idea of the lagnuage he hung up. For a government agency to call at 7:26pm EST on a friday is just funny. BTW....they already know your address and basic info. You have to give them the important stuff. Anyone can know where I live, and what to refer to me as, and when I was born, but they do not know who I am and if they wish it, I will grant it.
**A good qustion to wonder is are any of the pople here on the playstation network. I did not receive these calls until after the breach. Just a thought.**
