These cockroaches called four times originally  and would hang up when i answered.  Finally they explained they were from Windows Microsoft and someone had hacked my computer.  They were able to tell this and they needed to help me fix the problem.  I told them I was SO glad they told me this because my computer was in the repair shop and I would tell the repair shop what they have said.  They kept calling.  Calling so much that I gave them a designated ringtone so I could jump into  role play with them.  Now they have called today with the same ole hook and line but have called from  "Unavailable 13426 ".

I first received calls from the Indian accent calling from a number in San Antonio Texas and then started receiving calls from this number in New York.  I would love for them to leave me alone.  I'm already on the National No Call list.  What else can I do?

Same message as everyone else. At least two calls per day.  I scream in their ear and hang up. Wish they'd go back to their own country and try their scam there.

Scammer just called me from the "Windows Service Center" I am a network engineer and have done work for Microsoft.  I played along for a while.  He said I have been spamming other computers with "downloads" and he knew it was my computer based on "the Computer ID",   Knowing there is no Computer ID (only mac addresses, IP addresses and GUIDs) I also know that there is no way to trace any of the above to my phone number.  He got irate when he found out I was messing with his head and cussed at me in whatever camel language he speaks then hung up.

He also said I didn't know how to talk.

These foreign people keep calling me telling me my computer is sending viruses.   They can't tell me how they know this.   So then I sked them to identify the computer that was doing this (we have several in our house), they make up some funny reason and then just started guessing manufacturers.....

Called my landline today. Stated they were calling because they could see recent malicious download activity on my computer.
Claimed they could assist me if only I would go turn on my computer.
I replied I would do no such thing since they had not sufficiently ID'd themselves or their company & hung up.

they have called my house 2 days in a row, yesterday and today. I answered one time and no one said anything.. Reading what everyone wrote now I know who they are when they call me.. I get those calls quite often and tell them they are a SCAM.  I have called Microsoft and they said people use their name.  I try to let everyone one on FB know this so if they ever get a call not to give them any info.. especially your soc. sec or hack into your computer.... just hang up on them or start pushing the buttons on the your phone... that may be a deterant for them not to call again.   It only shows on my phone it comes from NY. I even went as far as telling them I have no computer and what are they talking about... lol

Have received at least a half dozen calls from this number over the past week or ten days.  If I answer, the only response is "Goodbye" after about 15-20 seconds of dead silence.  Tried calling back & am told the number isn't working.  VERY ANNOYING!!!

We've been receiving several attempts from this number for over a week. Always let it go to answering...seems to cancel out after the 2nd or 3rd ring...they never leave a message, so I guess that's the 1st clue that they're bogus.

I started getting these calls last fall. I was having issues with my computer so I fell for their cap. Started with a woman who gave me to a man, both with the same accent, very hard to understand and broken English. They wanted to show me on my computer how the problems had gotten past my protection. They lead me to believe it was so bad that I needed to buy a program from them and allow them to have remote access of my computer.  I am still getting the calls and when I tell then it is a scam they act offended and assure me it is not. My personal computer tec told me he was getting several calls a day from clients about these calls. If anyone has a way to stop the calls I'm all ears. I have blocked their calls and they just use another number.

I fell for this scam about two tears ago. It was right after I had purchased an antivirus protection. They called themselves IYOGI and charged me $159. That was supposed to be for one year. Then every three months they would call back and want to clean my computer again, for another big fee. I did not fall twice. They are scammers and I am fortunate that I had purchased good protection prior , so they were not able to hack me. But when they called back to "clean my computer" I played along with them. When the guy finally realized that he wasn't getting anywhere talking to me, he had me talk to "his supervisor". After some time giving him the runaround he wound up in a shouting match with me and finally hung up. PLEASE don't be foolish. Everyone out there wants our money nowadays!

The same number calls at least twice daily.  Called Saturday night - I had the guy on the phone for 20 minutes.  Told me he was calling from Microsoft and they detected a problem with my computer.  They wanted to 'help' me.  I played along with him, crying to 'please help me', pretty fun too.  Wanted to get to my run prompt.  This is a big time scam.  Why in their right mind would anyone believe this kind of BS?  Crazy.  They called twice again today.  They are from infosis.net, which according to the Microsoft forum is an "AMMYY scam" - they try to get you to pay the inflated price of their useless service.  All a bunch of scan artists... Here is some good reading material on these peeps:  http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/protect/fo ... 8b-69b7f2739a4e
or just google ammyy-scm or infosis.  Good luck...

Very persistent. Same as Linda, they've called me 5 times in 2 days. I'm glad I read these posts and found out what the caller wants. I dealt with a problem like this a year or so ago. They asked for the owner of the computer in my house. When I said he wasn't in and could I take a message they said "yes, tell him to call me. He and I are lovers."
It was a man I was speaking with. I told him I would be happy to give him the message. He hung up. Silly, immature jerks playing on the phone.

Several calls each of the last few days at varying times.  Caller ID Shows NY, and this #.  If i dont answer, they don't leave a msg, and if I pick up, nobody says anything until an automated voice says goodbye.

I have received about 4 calls from this number tonight, but they never say anything. They just sit there for a minute and then hang up. Unfortunately our phone in this one room doesn't have caller ID, however, I need to obviously get one that does, LOL.
