Received a call on my . private landline phone but missed it. It occurred around 840pm like the other complainant.  I dialed the number but it went blank. No rings or answers. I presume it's someone from the irs since someone mentioned above that it may be the govt and I provided my home phone number on my tax return forms. It's really unfortunate that u cant stop the telemarketers or the govt from infringing on your time.  Smh

I received 4 calls from this number, now on my reject list.

5 calls from them over and over.    call back and message states this number has been disabled

Want to stop repeated telescam phone calls?
Try these alternatives:

1.  Do not answer the phone if you see an unknown number on your Caller ID ... let it go to answering machine or voicemail.  Many telescammers hang up after 3 rings.

2.  If you have a smartphone, get one of the inexpensive or free phone blocker apps at your online app store, and learn how to use it.

3.  If your cel is not "smart", read the manual to learn how to set up a "group".  Assign the scammer's phone number to that group.  Also assign a "silent ring" to that group.  You will not hear future calls from that number.

4.  Google NoMoRobo, and visit their site, to see if your phone system is compatible with that system.  (It may or may not be compatible).

5.  Contact your phone service provider.  They may have a facility or method to allow you to block numbers.

6.  If you buy things online, you might want to google "Amazon phone blocker" to see what devices or apps Amazon has to offer for landlines or smartphones. Similar devices are for sale on eBay and other online stores.

6 calls in a 6 hour period on Saturday, May 10.  Woke me up with the first one.

Five calls so far today.  Got several yesterday.  Let them go to answering machine.  Assume they will give up eventually.

They have called me 2-3 times today, a few more times each week and leave no message.

called 3 times within a 3 hour period - picked up second and third time - and threatened the voice with bodily harm - apparently the person/persons who enjoy doing this is/are losers, morons, and a few choice other names -

I blocked this caller (my 50 # limit is not enough) but they continue to phone: FOUR times since first posting earlier today.

Scam artists - probably looking to see if you aren't home then rob you blind.

In just 2 days, I've gotten 3 or 4 calls from these people.  My answering machine picks up and they hang up.  Annoying.

Called - left no message.

Stops call before ans. machine connects, without leaving any message. If one calls back, this no. is disconnected.

This was an automated stastical record for questions regarding the New York City Police Department

Constantly calls, day and night, hangs up whether or not I answer the phone.

Strange, I've been getting a lot of calls from this number. They call at all times, sometimes one call right after the other because my Caller ID shows 2X. And, get this, they let it ring for as many as 8 rings.
The info shows "out of area" for a 212 call.

all week I've been getting calls about government surveys,  the robo kind. This one was already going before I even picked up the phone.  It asked for me to choose 1 to 5. I pressed 6. It hung up. It was around 8:40 pm.
I don't care if they're not trying to sell me anything, it still worries me. Someone might just want to know when we are and are not at home.
Below I choose type as survey, but I'm doubtful.  

"amber" the robot wants to survey me.  Does not identify organization or purpose of survey.  Launches into a survey right away...

Disconnected when machine came on.

Hung up when answering machine picked up, must be robocaller
