The DNC list does not automatically block calls. Instead, it provides a list of "do not call" phone numbers to legitimate telemarketers who pay a fee for the list.
The DNC list exempts political callers, survey organizations, charities and companies with preexisting business relationships, but these organizations might have their own, internal Do Not Call list (ask them).
The DNC list is not effective against criminals, spammers and scammers, because those people do not subscribe to the DNC list, and do not care if you are on or off that list.

I have asked over & over again for the calls to STOP however they continue to call if not every day, every other day.
The call is from Vacation Tour and Travel or so the caller ID shows. If you call it back, it says it is a Verizon Wireless Number that has been disconnected but they just called 5 minutes ago from that number. They don't leave a message and they use different numbers from all area codes and call on a daily basis. I am on the DNC Registry and do not appreciate getting unsolicited calls from telemarketers. If I want to travel, I will go to a travel agent in the meantime please STOP

It is a payday loan company when you call back. They call everyday, twice in a row. I am going to try to answer next time to get my number removed.

calls and calls and calls, no messages left, hangs up just before I can get to it and just before answering machine kicks in....very very annoying...DO NOT WANT THEM TO CALL ME, PLEASE! Looks like we are all in the same boat...:(
