Did you rcv the notice and was it legit? The recorded calls I have rcvd use buzzwords to make it sound as though they are calling from the gov't & something about further action taken in my jurisdiction? Thoughts?

Called back and spoke with a professional sounding gentlemen named John.

He advised me that he was calling about my Check n Go payday loan.

I asked for a written notice (within 5 days) as per FDCPA requirements (Section 809(a)).

He said he would email the notice ending our conversation.

I called. It's MRS Assoc (debt coll). Indian speaking. I hung up

I constantly receive calls from this number looking for someone with my last name. I've asked them over and over to please remove my number from there data base, however to no avail. what can i do? When I phoned them back to complain the young lady that answered the phone just hung up on me.

Got a call from 213-261-0124 for someone I do not know with the same last name. What do these people do? Go down everyone with the same last name looking for them? And of course you assume it is a debt collector!! Invasion of privacy!
