Messages me for a post I put on Craigslist about my $2000 engagement ring set I got for sale. Saying he was sending me a check for $3500 deduct the cost of the ring and give the rest to an agent that will be picking up the ring. Lol. I'll see how that goes. Giving him the run a around. Lol. F- ing people now says.

Same here. Buddy could hardly speak English and I though he was in India, where all the jobs seem to be going.
But Caller ID showed this #. Come on...get real!! I know my provider is NOT NIS!!!

I just got a call from the same number, and claiming that he is from NIS Canada, too. Asking me to go to my computer and he will help me to remove all the virus..

As described in the other posts, I too got a call from the supposed NIS Canada, however, the callers accent was so thick i thought he said he was from Microsoft so I entertained his banter for a few minutes. When asked for his phone number so i could phone him back he said they only had one line and it was busy with outgoing calls. Hmmmmm, interesting.

Got a call from this # claiming to be a NIS server rep. It was a must that I go to my computer and he would instruct me on how to get rid of virises.
This is a scam and attempt to gain access to my computer and all the informartion nb it.

Call from this number claiming to be NIS Canada and that they were "The" internet server comppany. Claimed it was an emergrency and that their servers had received a message from my computer and that it was corrupted and that if I had an Anti Virus type program it was now corrupt. Wanted me to log onto a site and provide information so I could be contacted by his supervisor and given a "Free" Anti Virus/Anit Spam program.
