This scam was a little disconcerting at first because I had taken out a Payday loan in June, but they were saying it was from August.  I also know how much the fees were with this institution as I reviewed by records and it was not the same amount.  What caused me to get more serious about this particular scammer (aka - Justin Davis at 916-222-4546) was that he started out with my last four of my SSN.  As I proceeded to ask him questions, he rattled off something unrecognizeable and then provided me with my name, FULL SSN and bank routing number.  This really had me wondering for just a moment if it was legitimate, but I KNEW I didn't have an outstanding loan anywhere and suspected identity fraud.  From there, I avoided providing him with any missing pieces (i.e. - actual bank account number) and asked him to provide me with written documentation for said Lawsuit that was pending.  When he threatened me saying that I would be "Download to the Post Office" (gotta love that one), I informed him that even if I was having a judgement placed against me, it would be delivered by the local Sherrif and not by force.  It doesn't work that way folks.  

When he told me this debt was with CashNetUSA, I told him that I would take the matter up with them.  He became irate and said that documents would be faxed to my employer, making them aware of the situation the next day (not allowed to fax legal information like this BTW).  He also said that a "Black and White" would provide the document at my door or I could visit the courthouse to verify the lawsuit.  He then concluded that he was "Downloading the lawsuit" now.  Well I'm mighty proud of him!  

Just to be safe, I contacted CashNetUSA and verified that my account was paid in full from the one (and only one) loan I had received from them.  They did verify that no money was owed and that others had received similar calls lately.  I was transferred to the Fraud department where I filed a claim there and told them to note my account that I would not be taking out ANY future loans.  I actually called the number back for "Justin Davis" 916-222-4546 and he answered!  This was awesome as I never expected someone to.  I told him that I had verified with the lender that my account was in good standing and to cease any further calls.  He told me that he would be in touch with his client and get back with me....oh, and he did say "God Bless" before he hang up.  Great, he is Christian with no morals!

Don't be fooled people and DON'T fill in any missing pieces for these scammers.  I have since then, taken the phone number that I know he would answer with and did a reciprocal "Good Gesture" and post several classified personal ads of a questionable nature on all the adult areas I could find....As Justin Davis of course!!!

I received a call today from this number.  The man speaks very little english and is very rude.  Asking for money that I do not owe.  If you start to question him, he gets upset and finally hangs up the phone.

The person on the other end is rude and hung up on me 5 times.  Demanding money and knew where I banked.  I am reporting it to the police, my bank, and the telephone company.  Please do the same.

My wife has received calls on her cell and work line as well. They are very threatening and have a lot of personal information about her.

Yes they have my SS# also or at least the last 4 digits and my cell phone number.  They have called me and mumbled the name of the law firm.  Like all of you they had a very heavy Indian accent also.  First time they called I couldn't understand a word he said, then all of a sudden he said clearly I'll get my supervisor  so I hung up, turned my phone off, they called twice, 2 different voices saying the same exact statement.  When I called them I couldn't understand the first man and he could not understand me and I speak very clear and enunciate clearly.  Finally I said to him "we're not going to get this resolved because you can't understand me and I can't understand you, is there someone there that speaks English?  He hung up on me.  So I made a call to a friend, sat and was eating my dinner salad; then decided I'll call the number 213-545-6571 again and got another person.  He was able to speak English a little clearer than the last.  I gave him my name and he gave me my last 4 digits of my SS#.  Told me he was from a law office and again mumbled it.  I told him I didn't get a loan and there was no money put into my bank acct.  He then got very mean and yelled at me and informed me I had better get a very good lawyer.  Bring it on is what I say.  If he and his crony's think they are going to take anything of value of mine...............LOL Bring it on.  I know its not funny because people and their lives are ruined 100 folds over every day.  People are right contact your bank, contact attorney general office, contact one credit report agency and they'll contact the other 2 for you.  They are always willing to help.

I've just received 15 calls in a row from this number on my office line - they call from this number then a caller ID showing as 911.  No idea who or what the company is, they are extremely aggressive and very strong indian accents.  They will not give me any information and I've told them they are harrassing me and was filing a complaint with my local authorities for harrassement.

I have gotten three calls from this number claiming I have a legal action out on me for a payday loan...I know for a fact I have not taken out any payday loan. I am now turning this over to the FBI.

Called me ten times this morning from American Law Firm........Same deal as noted above, but I have called him back a few times and spoke to an actual person. Very aggressive when confronted about calling. What steps should I take regarding local law enforcement, or do I even have any options?

this nubmer has called 5 times today.  i can not understand what they want and he is very aggressive and rude. i told him the person he is looking for is not me and he sounds like he is drunk.

these guys call and say that their names were Justin Davis, John Williams and Mark, they claimed that I have a loan that i had received a pay day loan for 300.00 back in April, and i haven't paid it off so they went on to threaten me that i will have a law suit against me and they would call the local sheriffs department and i will be arrested. at first i thought it was real until i decided to look up the company and couldnt find any record of the business than i began to read the stories on here and they all have the exact same story to each one.....SO DONT ANSWER THE PHONE FOR THESE FOOLS

I have received at least 10 calls yesterday and 5 this morning for an employee of mine.  We do not allow personal phone calls to employees. The caller said his name was James Cooper from American Law Division.

I contacted the Attorney Generals office to file a complaint about this matter. I also contacted my bank to make sure they aware of this scam since they had my account number and bank routing number. They have my S.S. number, my cell phone number, address, and enough info to wreak my credit life and life in general. We are trying to buy a house and this could put us under if they have the jump on my credit. I then contacted the 3 credit beauras and placed a "fraud" notice on my credit. Do everything you can to protect yourself from this kind of scam, because it is so much trouble to undo what they do to your life!!!

just got the same call asked them to give me an address so i can meet and dicuse this in person they told me they will send it to me in the email, trying to tell me we got a payday loan for 300, be carful they have all the info for bank, told them that i will come down with the shariffs and we can discuse this in person asked for the name of there company and they told me there company name is IAM SORRY and then proceded to hang up on me

They have contact me at home and on my job harrassing me about a online pay day loan and when I call the number back it says this is mark leave a message at the beep. I want them to stop on calling and watch out for this  number as well 310-807-0220 they contact my at work and now the line is busy. They will not give you any information and the switch name as well So Be Aware

well they called my work last night im 20 years old but im  a very smart lady i could tell it was a scam cuz i never got a paid day loan and the guy kept interrupting me and i said u let me speak and i said this sounds like a scam he said i needed to be in court in la at 8 am and i laughed and said u funny i live in a different state n then i said stop calling me or ill get the police on you and he hung up hopefully that stops that

I too receive calls from this number.  I have filed several complaints with the FTC about this number.  They are very harrassing.  I do not know how to make them stop.

The people calling from this number are running a scam.  Do not fall for it.  They all have HEAVY Indian accents.  They try to tell you that there are legal actions pending against you because you have taken out a pay day/internet loan and have not repaid it.  They try to then scare you in to sending money to "satisfy your debt".  They were trying to run this scam on my 20 year old son before I got involved.  When you ask them the name of the company, they become very evasive or simply hang up.  At one point, one of them told me the company was called U.S. Legal Affidavit Processing Division in L.A.  No such company that I can find by internet or BBB searches.  It is B.S. and they are committing a crime by trying to extort money out of you that was never received (he has never gotten a pay day loan) in the first place!  Tell them to $%@& off and quit calling you, or you'll call the Sheriff and report them
