I am getting the same thing. This guy kept on calling my place of business yesterday 75 times. 5 times today alone. My human resource person talked to him and told him to stop calling that this is a business and this is harrassment. She also told him that if he continued she would contact our local police department. Well he said so what. He could call anytime he wanted to and no one could stop him. So she called the police and he took our statements and they are going to press charges for harrassment. Same number 213-799-1159. This is defintely as BIG SCAM and I hope to GOD that someone catches them and puts them in jail. He called me a thief and I would go to jail. He is the thief not me. I do not get payday loans. Interest is too high. The police officer told me to check out these posts. When I got home yesterday an Indian lady and I had a hugh argument for 10 mins and I asked her did she not know English or how the law really works in the USA. She could not answer me.

Supposedly the company name they were representing was LLC Law firm. I work in a legal department so I know this was a fraud when she fumbled her words.  They are all liars.

I would really like to know how they get our information. I thought your personal information was safe on secured websites.

Any thoughts.

This is a scam. The caller, usually with Indian accent, says you owe some outstanding dept, perhaps a payday loan, or whatever, and he/she will wipe your record clean for only $100.00, or someother amount. Just tell them to put you on the DO NOT SCAM LIST and hang up. They will likely call back numerous times just to hassle you, but the best way to combat this is don't answer their calls. Be advised they have the capability to make any number they want show up on your caller I.D., so don't be fooled if it says 911 is calling. As for keeping them from calling you again, I don't know of a way to do that just yet.

I totally agree. My Indian guy's name was Greg and they also call my job. Luckily my phone sits on my desk and I'm the only one who answers. I have put my numbers on the Do Not Call list but they still call. And its always from a totally different number and area code.

I have been recieving calls. Its always a different number, then when I call back there's no answer and they'll call you back right away from another number. With some Indian guy stating he's officer Greg and there's a case pending because I have not paid back a cash advance that was sent to me which I've never applied for. He had all my banking and contact info which I would not verify with him. They keep threatening me with sending me court papers stating I would have to appear in court in NY. I said go ahead and send them and I keep hanging up. I can tell they're calling from a call center with all the noise in the background.

My husband was left a voicemail from an "Officer Andy" or "Adam" or whatever.  Anyway, his accent was thick, his english was awful, and he said my husband had an outstanding loan from "American Capital Cash" and if we didnt return the call he would have to proceed with his court filing.  When my husband called back, a woman picked up (same kind of rough english), and said he owed lots of money and he needed o address this right away.  When I called her back asking very specific questions she said she couldnt answer any of them. I put my husband back on the phone and she called HIM a criminal.  TOTAL SCAM!!!

I just got this phone number less than 30 days ago.    I recieved two messages, one from a women who I did not understand ranting and raving.  Something about screening my phone calls and going to take legal action.  She went on for over 4 minutes.  The second was some guy telling me if I did not call, I would be sorry.    There has to be a way to trace these people

My husband received the same call on Friday on his cell phone and I received one today at my place of employment.  This is weird because we haven't even been married a month and we have no combined debts at this point.  They are also referring to me with my maiden name.  I think it's bizarre that this place is contacting both of us.  I would love to find a way to make them stop calling my place of employment.

I have been getting the same phone calls plus they are calling my place of employment.  They are saying I owe around $5000 for payday loans and the court cost.  They hacked in on my place of employment's phone somehow and I thought it was my place of employment calling me.  Does anyone know how to stop them?

Some Indian person kept calling saying the same thing, he was an officer and there was a case pending against me for over 5 grand and if I would give him 100 dollars the case would be dismissed. I guess I made fun of him too much and ticked him off because he kept calling back for a while. I guess he was tired of my voicemail. Said he would have an officer on my door tomorrow. I said go ahead. They call about every few months and when I tell them I know it's a scam they don't call back. You can hear the people in the back, it sounds like a call center.

It's the same scam over & over. Caller id's himself as "Officer", says he's an officer of the court (???), I have a legal matter. He reads from a script, stumbles over some of the words, can't speak English well enough for me to understand. Says he could help me out of this matter.  I could give him my bank account # or credit card # and it would be wiped off my "record". Yeah, right!!  Oh, one more thing. I hung up and received a call right back from "MY OWN CELL NUMBER".
