I received a call from 214-261-4611 at our business today.  They asked who handles the credit card processing and I told her that we have it taken care of.  She then replied "Oh Smart A** who takes care of your charge backs & processing".  I called back and made a complaint told them to remove my number at once and am going to file with the better business bureau and report to the NC attorney generals office.  If our lobbyist owned officials in Washington were there for us this kind of crap would be illegal

Same pitch as a couple people listed above, trying to tell my father there is a "red flag" on our acct and need to send the last months statement. Said we are getting charged 4% when it should be 2%.. too bad for him I am in the industry and use my own company as my credit card processing. 2% isn't available in todays market.

I explained they weren't my CC processing company. He tried to throw the durbin amendment at me. I threw it right back in his face.

Any company that is willing to outright lie and dupe people into sending in there last months statement, is definitely hiding fees on clients and overcharging in places the normal person could follow.

Received a call to my store manager today explaining Main Street was the company my CC Processor used and they were overcharging me.  My Manager would not share the info, so they call back in 30 mins and insist we are being overcharged.  When I called Angelo I ask him how he got my information because my Processor had a confidenciality policy that was being violated if he got it from them.  He finally admitted he did not have such info, but he was sure I was being overcharged.  I ask him for his Net Effect Rate to which he could not give it to me.  This company is a scam and practice dishonest methods to get you data.  Don't fall for these guys.

This company, Main Street Publishers is located in  called my processing client 4/19/2012. They said say they are with the current processor (though they don't know the name) just to get them to fax the last 2 months statements. This company is lying to business owners. The person that called my client was named Michelle. They are a ISO of Wells Fargo! http://www.mainstprocessing.com/

Their address is 3505 Token Drive, Richardson, TX 75082

Recieved a call from Main Street Processing, she said there were reviewing my merchant services account and said there were "red flags" in my account that we have been overcharged and she needed me to fax our last statement to them.  I told them this is not my credit card processing company, she said  we are trying to get you refunded for overcharges.  I again stated you are not my processing company so I am not giving you any statements or our business information and she rudely hung up on me.  Unscrupulous business practices!

I rec'd a call this morning from Michelle. Very professional sounding. She insinuated that her company was a clearing house, and my provider was in that pool.
I even asked why I should trust who she said she was.  She had a ready and believeable reply.
I fell for it, because I do think my rate is too high.
I faxed a recent statement.
I was told that I would receive a call-back on Monday from an advisor.  This was verified by a Supervisor named Greg (I think).
THEN, I checked Main Street Processors on Google.
Thank you for this resource.  I do not intend to deal  further with this unethical, but  slick operation.
Do I need to report to my processor that I send a recent statement to MSP?
What have I compromised?

Had a message left for me that said to call Terry Sanders due to an overcharge to his credit card. When called back got Main street. After 15 words knew who they were and what they wanted so decided to play with him. I asked him why he left a message that we overcharge his credit card and he said he must have misspoke. Then he said he was from our processors processor and he needed the rates from our December statement. When I asked him why he needed this info he started to talk to me like I was stupid. When I told him I would just contact my processor he stated they wouldnt know of this overcharge and he worked directly with Mc and Visa.  I hung up and called my processor who confirmed what I thought. It was a scam and sales call. So I called Terry back and told him if he would have told me the truth to begin with I may have let them quote me a rate but since he lied to me at least 3 time in a 2 minute call it would be a cold day in hell before I do business with him.

Funny that she would say she would report your business - to whom would she report you exercising your right to not be hassled by telemarketers when your number is on the DNC and you didn't ask for them to call nor have you previously done business with them. Sorry pile of crap business it sounds like to me and I too would have hung up but without saying a thing then put their number in my block list.

You sound like such a phoney coming here to soften the posts about your company. You are crooks, we know it. If you were reputable people would know about you and CALL YOU instead of your solicitations. I don't take CC and I don't want your "services".

I used to work at main street ,and yes, they are very , VERY illegal as a company. We as associates , were prompted to COLD call companies , and bribe them on to faxing us their Merchant statments, and the associates get paid according to how many statemtnst they really got. They are so shady, that if a customer says " i dont have it available " They will request some personal information, and the supervisor Michelle , if cust is a woman , or Erin , if a man , will literally CALL THEIR MERCHANT SERVICES requesting these documents as if they were the CUSTOMER themselves. SMH  i would not reccomend anyone to work or use thier business.

For anyone to say that Main Street Processing or Datalink are "fradulent" or "scam artists" would be completely false.  Main Street has treated my business very well actually, and they have done nothing whatsoever to prove anything that any of you are saying is correct.  I sent in my statement to them and they helped me to find many different things that were wrong with my then previous provider and the way they were handling my processing services.  Many of you that signed up with this company or received calls from them probably haven't given them the proper amount of time to fully explain why they are calling or what they want to do in the first place....or you expect too much to begin with and then when they give you a fair service, you think they should have done more than they did.  This company is fair, and they are looking out for your best interest as a merchant, so stop complaining about something they hold you to once you put YOUR OWN SIGNATURE on a document before reading it all the way through.

My boss got a call from them several times over several  months and he finally went with them instead of his local bank, now we are looking at the bank statements and there are extra charges every month along with the BANKCARD MERCH FEES $12.50, there are also two more charges from TRIDATA BnkrdMTOT , one for $95.00 and the other is $30.00. He signed up with Data-Link.  Why is TRIDATA charging him too, and not only charging but making a killing? I need more info so I know what to do about this whole thing! If this company is just a big scam, I really need to know so we can move on. Thanks. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I just got a call from these guys and after asking to talk to who was in charge of our merchant account he then wanted me to give him our merchant info even though I had just explained I'm not in charge of that.  Later on after continuing to push for the info, which I said was unavailable cause I had to dig through records ( I was stalling cause I was very suspicious that this was a scam), he claims to be at the corporate offices of visa and mastercard and he is calling to give me info to give to my merchant account holder.  I called bull crap immediately and finally got him off the phone.

Annoying lady called and asked for "the manager", I asked who she was with and what the nature of their call was.  Lady said she wanted to inform us about an increase in processing.  I told her I didn't do business with her company, and she then asked "you do accept credit cards don't you?",  I responded to her by stating that if I allegedly had an account with her she would have already known the answer to that question.
She kept talking about how charges had increased and how she would help with "the account",  well, since I wasn't busy at the time I let her talk.  Usually by now I've  hung up.  Anyway, by now she was getting agressive, and asked if I was the owner, again I told her if I had an account with her she should already know who the owner was.  By now she was frustrated, and admitted that we actually didn't have an account with her  company, but that she wanted our account and if I would send her a copy of our last statement, she would make sure that she would be less expensive.
Finally after several minutes of banter, I finally said to her to just package all the info along with her companys documentation to me and I'd be happy to review "file 13" it.   Well, guess what......she hung up on me.
If I'm not busy (not often) and I want to "play"  I'll bs with this type of caller.  I find it amusing.  I am always careful never to agree to anything, not even say the word yes in conversation.  I feel the longer I keep them on the phone the the less productive they are.  Then I feel like I win at their game, lol !

Here is some of what you need to know in order to file a complaint;

The phone number 214-261-4611 is assigned to ALLEGIANCE TELECOM, INC. - TX and the actual exchange location is in DALLAS, TX. Technically, the telephone exchange switch is identified as IRNGTXXADS0.  (From http://ww.callwiki.com/phones/view/214-261-4611 )

Steve Odom owns this company, its a credit card processing "middle man". They are NOT direct processors. He has at least 3 companies under different names including Tridata Inc, Main Street processing, and Datalink Bankcard services. All doing business out of the same location, 3505 Token Drive, Richardson Texas.  (From http://whocallsme.com/Phone-Number.aspx/2142614611 )

Now that you have that info, you can fill out these forms :

Lady calls, acts urgent, says she needs to talk to the person that handles merchant account. Same M.O. as everybody else's post where she "fishes" for information, while pretending to be your processing provider. Got ruder the more she heard "well, if your my provider, you know what I paid last month, and what my rate is - so why don't you tell me"...  Also reported to BBB and Texas AG Office for the very poor and rude, but so bad, attempt -  is was almost funny - phishing technique.
