I have never received any calls from Comcast until I began my subscription for internet. However, from reading these posts, I do not think these calls are coming from Comcast. These people have got to be scammers who purchased customer data.

They called me and I had the misfortune of buying into their scam and gave my personal info. Good news is they have not done anything in the week since they called... You need to put a fraud alert on your account if this happens so you can monitor any activity...

This is a third-party telemarketing firm calling on behalf of Comcast to offer promotions to existing accounts. If you answer, ask them to remove you from Comcast's promotional call list and they will.

This number called me 4 times this week without leaving a voicemail. The 5th time they left a voicemail saying "Please call Comcast Customer Service" at 2142694547.
I'm a Comcast customer so I contacted Comcast through their website. They have no records of those calls and told me to ignore them.

i got a call and was offered faster speed to my internet connection. i checked with comcast and was told there was no notation on my acct that i got a call. I don't know if this is related, but my bank credit card changed my card to a new number, a couple of days later. BEWARE.

this number has called me 2-3 times a day since late nov i have yet to hear anybody when i do answer but have only answered maybe 5% of the calls. it only calls me on my t-mobile phone which is supposed to be blocked from telemarketers and is a number that only 7 people can use to contact me. i have not had this number call on my work phone(at&t).

They've been calling almost everyday for the last week or two and now they're even calling twice a day. I never answer but it's getting very irritating. :(

Super annoying! Comcast has been calling me night and day on my cell phone - taking up my precious minutes - from this phone number for the past two weeks. When I answer, there is no one on the line. Finally, I just waited until someone else said something. Someone finally spoke. When I complained about these calls, she said that the lag time was because the calls are computer generated. I told her to never call me again and to remove me from all solicitation lists. She said that she would do so but that it would take up to 30 days. This practice of repeated calls really makes me hate Comcast.

Getting calls everyday on my cell phone. I do have Comcast but I don't answer these calls. What's funny is they also call my husbands phone but I never gave Comcast his number at all! How are they getting this info and how do I stop these calls?!

Haven't any of you guys stopped to think it's a scam and they are trying to get personal info from you any way they can? It could be an ex employee of Comcast for all I know but it's obviously not Comcast if there is no record of the call when you call back their 800 number and speak with their customer service. I get calls from this number randomly and sometimes in spurts but I just now finally blocked the number directly on my phone so at least I don't have to see the stupid number in my phone anymore!!!!

Read on another comment thread that its most likely a scam targeting Comcast customers. This number is associated with Comcast- Sales dept as an outgoing number.
Source: Comcast customer service agent after I inquired given that my bill is not late.
They repeatedly call without leaving a voicemail. I have not and do not recommend answering.

I keep getting calls from this number. Every 1-3 days. Just got a call about 15 minutres ago. They left no message. Looks like this is a scam. I will be blocking this number.

This number handles the promotions for Comcast. So if you recently got service or ended service they will call with promotions to gte you to upgrade or to sign back up.

Got a call from this number twice this week - I didn't answer, and they didn't leave a message.
After reading this webpage, I looked at my Comcast account, and it is up-to-date, no charges due, etc.

These idiots have been calling me 1-3 times per day for the past two weeks, since I've discontinued service with comcast. Picked up three times, but only got a human voice once. Told her I was not interested in setting up new service. She ignored me, and kept asking me questions, as if she was going to setup service for me anyway (since she insisted that it was such a great deal.). Kept telling her no, but she kept asking questions. She sounded very southern and very black. not that it really matters.

I received a phone call from this number and after several "hello"s a male voice came on the line and said that if I had any questions with my Comcast service to call the number back. I thought this was highly unusual and so I contacted Comcast directly using their 1-800 number they have listed on their website.
The customer service agent stated that they didn't have any notes on my account, my account is up-to-date, and my service is not due to be shut off. The person I spoke to advised me not to give out any details and not to even answer the phone if they call again.
I was given the 1-888 number to Comcast's Security Assurance department and I will be following up with them on Monday.

I got the call on Dec 6. A lady claimed that she was prompting comcast service to current customers since my current contract is expiring. Although I made a deal with her, I have not received any package yet. I will report this incident to Comcast.
