Update to earlier post - this caller made off with over $1300 out of my checking account. It is in claims right now with the police department and my bank. Also, it appears that a Sprint telesales representative leaked or provided my information to this person - the caller knew, without me saying, the exact model number of the phone I was interested in purchasing.

The caller gave his name as Mark Davis from "Sprint Order Verification" and provided an employee ID number. He said he was calling in regards to a mistake in billing, saying that I had been overcharged for my order. The order in question had been canceled earlier this morning. I called Sprint immediately after I hung up to verify the order - they showed no record of my order. Sprint's fraud department called the number and were informed that it was a wrong number. I called the number back and got a voicemail instead of a business. I have since called my bank and had my credit card number blocked. If you are reading this, thinking about placing an order for a phone through Sprint, do not respond to any calls after the fact, and place your order in person at a Sprint-authorized store.
