Somebody from this number calls me at least 4-5 times a day, every day, no matter the time. They ask for someone named Frederick, and I know nobody by that name. I Googled the number and it seems to be Sallie Mae.
Does anyody know how to make them stop? I am enrolled in the Do Not Call registry and have told them repeatedly that they have the wrong number and to stop calling.

Received several calls daily from this number -caller leaves no messages.

sallie mae calling from a cell phone number? thats fishy, i've been getting these calls for almost a month now but i never pick up

got this call shortly after a call from sallie mae. i do know sallie mae is a legit call, however i have no idea who this other one is.

When I went to answer my phone, I accidently knocked it onto the floor. It opened and as I was reaching down to pick it up, I heard my name once. They hung up, and when I called back I got a busy signal... twice.

Called and when I said hello they said hello i heard typing then they hung up.  I called the number back but all I got was a busy signal.

They call my phone about 8 times a day.  I've told them numerous times the person they are calling for does not live here.  Now when I answer the phone they hang up on me.  If I don't answer and it goes to voice mail, they don't leave a message.  I'm also getting about 8 calls a day from Sallie Mae.  They have told me they would take my number off the file but they have lied.  These are the worst people to deal with.  Please don't ever take out a loan with Sallie Mae.  Their people are rude and they have shady loan practices.  And I've never had a loan with them!  I've just read the horror stories all over the internet in my efforts to get them to stop calling my phone.

Call multiple times a day for weeks, when I answer it is either dead air, or they ask for some one I don't know.

sallie mae, i seriously hope you go to bankruptcy.

Caller i.d. showed a cellular call.  I answered and the girl asked for someone who does not live here BUT I do know this person.  He is my former boss' son.  I thought it was very strange that they would have/call my number.  I told her I knew the person she was looking for and she asked if I knew how to get hold of him.  I told her no, which is true.  Then I told her that really I know his father and she asked if I knew how to get hold of him and again I told her no, which is not true but I had no idea who it was till I googled the number and got here. I had no idea my name and/or phone number was ever used as a reference on his student loans. I assume he is in default on his student loans based on what I have read here about who is calling from this number.

This is either Sallie May or a debt collection firm working for them.

Once your number gets on their list, good luck getting it off.  I've no loan with them, but my son in Iraq does.  Explaining this to them makes no difference.  If you can block their number via your phone company, do it.

This number calls me dozens of times in a day. Usually three or four times within a half hour period, there is either no answer, or it says "All of our agents are busy helping other customers, press 1 to continue holding, I pressed 1 every 15 seconds about 10 times and then they finally told me "Goodbye" and it hung up on me, when I call the number back, I get a busy signal.

This person calls saying they are in some state other than Texas where the Caller ID identifies them from and swears they are calling from a land line in Sallie Mae. I said if that was true then your number would show up a 1-800 or 1-866 number and I could believe it was them. Yet they continue to call from this number and never leave a message. This is not the first cell phone they have called us from either.

Been receiving calls from this number on my cell and at home repeatedly.  My father has also been receiving calls from this number.  I googled the number and found this website.  It's Sallie Mae.  Completely legit.  I have a loan through them but when I explained the situation...stay at home mom with a husband in the Army...waiting for his bonus to pay things down, the chick yelled at me.  So I hung up on her...she called back several times and hung up each time it went to voicemail.

Theyre persistent. It's SALLIE MAE!!!

So annoying, I continuously send them to voice mail and they still call. How annoying. I hate them.

Two calls today from 214-551-3923 saying that a Michael Thomas has used us as a reference in his application for a student loan.  We have no idea who Michael Thomas is!  And in Googling this number found this website.  Obviously this is a scam of some sort.

"A.J" just answered when I called too. I asked if it was a business and he said he was with "Sallie Mae".

I hate them!!!!

Multiple calls, no messages; I googled the phone number and got this page; when you do a reverse lookup it shows a "cell phone" number. Right...

I tried calling back at a random time, and a person named "A.J." answered the phone...

Non stop pressure from these numbers to provide personal information and they will call back if I hang up on them. This time, the first number called once, the second called twice and the third called twice...back to back.
