The company is apparently owned by another company called Telava which flogs, among other things, call centre software. No surprise there. And no contact details either.

These people are calling and asking for someone who doesn't live here and I am damed tired of them. If I could get the address I would have my attorney send them a letter but they only leave a recording and when I call them back to tell them they are calling the wrong number, I can't get anyone.

I was email spammed to buy a penny stock in a company call UNILAVA, which has a subsidiary called TELAVA that acquired IBFA Acquisition Company, LLC (see below). As part of my due diligence, I ran across this site regarding some questionable activities by IBFA.
These kind of companies behind multiple layers of companies to continue their questionable activities. Thanks for reporting your experiences here. While this may not be considered as a fraud and scam, trustworthy firms do not operate in this manner and it is not a company I would chose to invest in.
Thanks all of you for posting. Below is the SEC documentation and website I referred to above.

On January 16, 2008, Telava Acquisitions Corporation, a wholly owned subsidiary of Telava, announced that it has signed an agreement to acquire IBFA Acquisition Company, LLC (IBFA).

If you get a call from this company report it to the FCC or the FTC.
1-888-CALL-FCC (1-888-225-5322).
It takes a while to file a complaint, but this is the only way of getting rid of scum bags like this.

Caller wanted know the owner of our company. Said he was calling from a cell phone in NC. The caller ID showed it was from Dallas TX. Polite but not honest.

Called trying to sell ink cartridges. I said they could send them and if I liked them I would pay them otherwise I would send them back. they said no problem then called to say they needed payment first. They said the name of their company is star technologies. I think they are scam artists

I got a call from a similar number...214-586-0999. Also from Dallas and Ibfa. Anyhow, what they do is call and if there's an answer, they know they can sell your number as potential customers who will answer calls. They call frequently to ensure it isn't a fluke. Sometimes someone will be on the line and ask for someone and then hang-up.

Rediculous phone calls daily. As many as 30 calls in a 3 day period. I have placed a tracer on our phone for the harassment. Hopefully it will stop, soon. Our harassment has been going on for over 3 months!!!!

Called today, a recorded voice said I was caller #3? and a representative would be with me shortly, I waited just to see who it was and the line went dead?

If you call the number, a recording offers to remove your number from their call list.

Don't answer the phone call!
| M 2007-04-19 20:59:41 Unknown |
214.586.0113. This number keeps calling my cell, 7 times a day, for the past 2 weeks. I found out that the number is from Dallas, Texas, from a landline to a company called IBFA Acquisition LLC. I looked them up, and I think that they are a bogus company. So don't answer the calls! I ended up changing my cell phone number.

I'm getting 7 calls from this phone number 214-586-0113, every half hour, starting at 11 AM. It's driving me crazy! I'm not sure who it is, because I don't pick up. I think that I'm going to change my number now.

I am getting 2 calls every day from this caller. Grrrr. I reported them to FTC. My phone company offered to change my phone number but I'd hate to do it.
