Just got a message asking if "this dress is still available for sale? get back to me asap". This is the 3rd type of reply I have received on the wedding dress I placed on craigslist. The ad states no scammers/spammers, but I guess that doesn't deter people! Replied that if they text again I will report to police, but doubt that will make a difference either.

Same here, text messaging me, I am getting better at checking though!  And I will tell them off.

Trying to find out who owns this phone number.

Same run around here.  I asked for their name and they haven't texted me back yet.  Same exact scenario as the first poster, which I would have read it first.

Same thing is happening to me right now and it seemed suspicious so I googled the number and this is what I got. I just got this text today-July 31,2012. What an a**.

I just got a text message from this person asking "I am interested in buying the beautiful wedding dress and waht is your final proce for it". I sent them a text back and haven't heard anything back. I cant believe people get a joy out of wasting my time.

funny thing is when I called him/her out on it he or she wouldnt respond hahaha
this is the 2nd time someone has tired to pull this on me, same person I bet!!

I just got the run around crap with this sick a**wipe  about me selling my wedding dress thru craigslist.& It goes

"Good morning. I am still interested in the wedding dress, what is the asking price?"
then no response after I said the price.

Next day
"Hello, I still want the dress for my daugthers wedding this month, ok? I will pay you $550 and the extra $50 is for you to  hold the dress til you get your money cos am paying via Bank certified cashier check or Postal money order. we just move to Utah cos of my new job as a security agent, don't worry about the shipment cos it would be handled by me. Please let me know if my offer is accepted asap."
I told them I would only accept cash or a money order done thru Walmart b/c I've been scammed before.

Then I got that SAME EXACT TEXT over a 2 week period.
Finally, I just told them off by calling & told them not to waste my time if they weren't serious.

Then they texted me from a different number.

"Hello, how are you doing? What is the size of the wedding dress and it's last asking price cos I am still interested. Roger."
I knew it was the same people so I kinda told offf since I've explained it before.

Then they sent "As soon as you get the money order cashed and you have your money, pick up will be done immediately by shipper.. So send me the name and address where payment should be sent."

I told them I will give the walmart info in the morning since it was farrrr after midnight.  then this is where they COMPLETELY screwed themselves.

"my name is Roger Jacob, I work in Utah and also live there. my address is East 200 South Lindon, UT 84042. my shipping company willl come down to pick up the Wedding dress from your city<3"

Well, I'M FROM UTAH ORIGINALLY and I know FOR A FACT noooo existing housing address is at that location so I googled his "name" and the address and found this page. Hahahaha! So I told them both numbers will be reported to the police for attempted fraud because numbers can be traced back to the buyers. The only way they won't be caught is if they paid/pay for the phone in cash. But they don't seem very smart.

I really hope this sick f*** who seems to get a pleasure out of wasting their pathetic life by wasting other's lives and time gets caught soon
