They call me every few weeks and don't leave a message.  It is Temple University, I am alumni from 90'.  They used to call my land line but now use my cell since it's my only non-changing number.  I have told them in the past that I will not donate money.  They received out of state tuition from me, that was more than enough.  I'm not willing to pay for the new arena, hotel, starbucks, nice book store and new housing.  They get incentives for the money they bring in, that's why their persistent.

Calls 4-5 times a week.  I am a Temple Alum.  No one picks up when I answer.  

I would not appreciate a call from this number every other day.  Please stop calling me

The National Do Not Call Registry says that it doesn't apply to companies with whom you have an existing business relationship, or to charities.  I'm not a lawyer, but I don't think alumni with no outstanding debts can be considering to have an existing business relationship with Temple.  I highly doubt they meet the definition of a charity.

The website also says that if you tell them to remove your name from their calling list, they must do so.

I have received these calls about  every 3 days. Don't answer them-it is a  con game.not Temple Un.

They call me around 6pm daily....answer & all i hear is click and the call ends....Wish i could talk to someone to let them know that I am in SERIOUS debt because of them & they will never get a penny more from me!

They called my cell phone and when they didn't get what they wanted they just hung up.

Got a call last night (Wednesday) at 8:23PM! Didn't answer because I didn't recognize the number. Called it back just now from my work phone and the message said it was Temple, looking to get $$. Better not get another call tonight, because I'm answering this time and I will not be in a pleasant mood....

Must be a telemarketing company.  When I dd a search, this is what came up.

Hahahahahaha!!!! Temple ripped me off HEAVILY on my bill, why the heck would I donate to their alumni program? I didn't even graduate because of their mistake.

I received a call from Temple back in April, not sure if it was on this same number.  But the girl on the other end was refusing to give up asking me for a donation (first started out as $350, and when I said I didn't have ANY money to donate she continued lowering the amount).  I told myself I would never answer a call from Temple again.
Then back in August I received a call from someone I didn't know, and I answered. Once again it was Temple, but I happened to be at work and avoided the questions about donating.  However, I saved the number in case they called again.  I have received calls at least 3 times a week from them since then...usually after 7PM, and sometimes even on Sundays. I answered once telling them to stop calling...clearly they haven't listened.
It frustrates me that I went to school there for 4 years and now they are harassing me about money.

Called her yesterdday - Sunday, 5:30 PM, during dinner.  Not getting any money that way. Didn't answer, no message.

NOT giving any money to Temple so stop calling me!

Yes, they call me often... I didn't even have this number when I was at Temple and I suspect I know who threw my number into their database.  Really annoying.

I have been receiving calls from this number 3 times already for the past week mostly at night, and it is annoying!!! I wish they'd get the hint that if I'm not picking up or returning calls, it means i'm not interested. If at least they had the decency to leave a message, I MIGHT consider calling back.

I actually used to work for Temple's Development (fundraising) office, which is where this call came from.  That was some years ago (like 30!) but at that time, the calls were made by students who were paid.

I thought it was creepy they called on a cell number I give out on a limited basis.  Their phone research might be very good, but they ought to realize that people with numbers not readily available are not going to be receptive to calls.  I sure wasn't.

The guy on the end of the phone was young and very personable.  He tried to immediately engage me by naming my degree and asking if I was using it.

I just told him I'd never gone to Temple.

Whenever a call like this comes in and it is a woman on the other end I start by asking her what she is wearing and head downhill from there until she hangs up.I love harassing other women this way. If this is the best job they can get, they should just start turning tricks or giving b*** j**s in alleys.

I can confirm beyond any doubt that this is Temple University.  The number is called outbound from their Student Activity Center in center city Philadelphia.

The caller admits that the school is ignoring any do-not-call-lists.  They are using a database of old students, tracking down new numbers and addresses and calling these graduates.  Sometimes with 15-year old records.

Frankly, given my experience, they are clearly robo-calling.  Even if a human is at the other end, it is not all the time.   Many times, I just get a click and a hangup.  

Are they harassing the wrong people?  yes
Are they breaking the law, surely.
Will anyone at the Fed ever stop them?   Not likely.   Look at law the way it is now.
Will anyone stop them at the PA state level?   Spoke to them...er um her.... already.  She is busy.

Temple asking me for money. I answered and was very polite to the woman and told her I couldn't afford to donate at this time, and she hung up on me. Rude! Next time I'll tell them my Temple degree is worthless and I can't find a job.
