I got a call from this number at an unreasonable time, at 11 PM, when attempting to call back, the line was not in service. As others claim it is Temple University, I have no affiliation with Temple University or any of its students and/or anyone affiliated with the university at all for that matter.

This is Temple, the one that called me today was because I told my son's doctor I would be interested in a quit smoking study. Calling back was a pain in the butt.

If you went to Temple it was prob alumni fundraising, they called me today and they call me once a few months.

Said he name was Lady, a piano teacher.... at first she called me Christina (not my name) and said she had this number as the only contact for Christina. Then asked if any one here at this number (yeah here on my cell phone) takes piano lessons. I said no. She apologized and said have a nice day. Simple wrong number it seems.

Temple University has a huge phone system and if you're there and make an outbound call, this is one of the switchboard numbers that can show up.
Since a week or two later I got ANOTHER call from Temple that showed a different number, I can tell you that MY call from this number was for fundraising.
Temple never tries to reach me, so having two calls close together suggests the intent was the same.

Just got a call from this number, and they hung up right when I answered. It's interesting there is an entire thread for this issue dating all the way back to 2007.

This number seems to be a lot of different things. For me, it was someone calling to set up a job interview with the communications department. As someone pointed out above, it seems to be just a general line that they use. Thanks for letting me know it was Temple, though, otherwise I woulda missed the second call they placed!

Someone, with this phone number, calls about one day a month about every 5 minutes for an hour. I don't know how it has chosen my phone number, but it is a work number and I work for the Judiciary.

This is the outgoing number for all Temple lines at the University. It's not a specific person. Any number called from the unversity from any department will show up at 215-204-9999 or 215-707-9999.
I work here so I know.

I got a call from this number and it was Temple University following up on a "exit' survey for a professional organization I used to belong to. I had gotten the survey invitation, so this was legitimate.

I receive many calls from this number. Usually hang-ups. But, at times, a woman will ask "who is this". I give her my name and she will hang up.

This is from Temple University. They were trying to sell me tickets to a Temple Owls football game.

Someone called my coworkers phone asking questions regarding my work habits. They specifically asked for me. I tried calling the number back and it doesn't go through. I keep getting error messages.

It's from Temple University.
I haven't had the issues that have been listed here; a detailed, personalized voicemail was left for me and then it provided a legitimate number to call back.
Maybe there were problems before that have now been resolved...or maybe I'm just one of the lucky ones. ;)

Just got a call from this #, and they hung up. Hence my Googling the # and going into this site. I don't get many random calls so it concerned me.
