i am on a do not call list.

These jerks call with different spoofed caller IDs every day. If you block a number they just come up with a new one. Does anyone know who these jokers are? I'd like to report them to the FTC and anyone else who could stop this nonsense.

Every day I get a call from 302-6036  no area code.  I finally answered and listened and pushed  0
a young lady asked for my PECO account number. I did not give it to her. She said she will call back.
I had a feeling this was a scam so i immediately went to the computer. I'm happy I did.

Robodialer...no answer, no person, no luck with their (call block, option 1).

I called and emailed Coretel.  They supply this "telecom service".  Although it's not their fault if "Electric Bill" doesn't properly use the service they provide.

Unwanted call

I am getting calls from this number 2-4 times a day. I have to laugh at this point because the idiots at the other end need to get a real job. Anyway, I agree with Grace on this. Don't answer the phone if you don't know who's calling.  As for napping, turn the ringer off on your phone or stuff it in a dresser drawer so you aren't disturbed.

If we all complain to the proper people, perhaps something can be done but I don't think anyone is reading this except us.

I have heard you can buy a box that blocks 100 numbers. I have also heard you can only let certain numbers call through that you program on a list.  Anyone else will have to record who they are or they cannot call through and you don't have to answer the phone.

Actually, the Do Not Call list works just fine, but people don't realize how it works. Telemarketers who are calling on behalf of companies that do not have a previous business relationship with you are required to subscribe and abide by the list. The vast majority of legitimate companies do this, especially the recognized major companies. It's not worth the negative PR to do otherwise. But, the scammers and sleazebags -- names you don't recognize --aren't interested in complying with the list, so they just call from whatever database of phone numbers they have. They just don't comply with the list, and since they spoof/fake the caller ID, it's difficult to find out where they're really calling from and who they are. And many times these losers just move constantly from one location to the other.

How many well known companies do you actually get telemarketing calls from anymore, since you subsribed to the list? Ones that you don't have an existing business relationship with. Almost none, because they comply with the list. Scammers don't, they know they're breaking federal law, and they know the govt. doesn't have the resources to go after all of them. I'm as frustrated as the next person, as this particular group of losers has robo-called my cell phone ten times since 10/31. I have the # blocked so my phone won't ring, but it still shows up as a missed call. But, I'm hoping to educate people on the difference between legit and non-legit telemarketers, and not incorrectly put the blame on the Do Not Call list.

Nothing Stops these Jerks from Calling Several times a day-----They are the WORST Electrical Supplier Company YET!!!!They need to be jailed AND FINED $20,000 for each call.......If they are simple ROBO Dialing why do they call the same Numbers EVERY SINGLE DAY 2 to 3x's a day?  No one can find out exactly what company they are looks like....I report EVERY single call and so should everyone else so the people on the Do Not call Website understand EXACTLY what kind of problem they are!

Get calls every day from this number, some times several times a day. I just don't answer it or any other call that comes in without a number or name. If it's important, they will leave a message. I don't get myself all worked up by these calls... I've learned to just not answer the phone.

I have an unlisted number as well as being on the Do Not Call List, since it's inception. Back then, it worked but the scammers caught on. What the majority do not understand is that these 'people' choose a block of phone numbers, i.e. 111-222-3400 to 111-222-5699, and start robo calling. If your number falls within that block, you get a call. Infuriating? Damn right. Anything you can do about it? Hell no. The DNC list is only for the legitimate, law abiding 'callers'. I simply screen ALL of my calls.

these people call all day and all night, and say they are from the local Sheriff's office and there is a warrant for my arrest, call this number and give them my social security number immediately??? DAH a** wipes why would I do that, I called my Sheriff's office and they said the complaints are on going with these people, it's a scam and to contact the Attorney Generals Office.

Multiple calls daily. Usually hangs up. Once got a message about reducing electric bill. Absolute scam

They call 4-5 timesa day, if you answer and press the numbers....it goes busy....It is so annoying!

Your comment does nothing for anyone on this site, and is incoherent. Legitimate marketers comply with the Do Not Call List. Scammers do not. I mean, your comment that, "people that do not wish to be contacted usually have something to hide", is so ridiculous it's laughable. Stop wasting yours and everyone else's time with your uninformed posts. That's like saying if you have nothing to hide, you shouldn't mind being contacted by any telemarketer. C'mon now. "Energy Choice Assistance" -- telemarketer, wanted to know information from my electric bill. I am on the Do Not Call list, how do these clowns get my number?

They keep calling my house everyday. They dont need to call here since my number is on the do not call list.

SCAM CALL !

I've had five calls today alone from this number.  Caller ID says "Energy Bill."  I ignored the first four calls, then picked up on the 2nd ring on the fifth call.  No one was there.  What they are doing has to be illegal.

I get calls from these people at least 3 times a day...so annoying.  When I *do* pick up, I want to actually speak with a human to tell them to put me on their "no-call" list (yeah right), but I've never heard a human voice - just dead air.

They're calling my house too atleast 2 and 3 times a day!!!! I am reporting every single call.... I have them blocked now so I don't hear the ring!!!!!!!!!!!
