Call my phone number. No response. No message

This is a telemarketer trying to sell medical insurance.  Keep in mind that anyone trying to sell insurance over the phone is most likely not worth the paper it is printed on.

Some guy called Tyler Jurden calling about saving money on energy bills.

Do what I always do: answer the phone, get someone on the line if it's a computer, then set the phone down.  It's fun listen to them get irritated that no one's on the line.

They called, I answered. Taped message: "Their records indicated that I didn't have any health insurance coverage..... (We have GREAT coverage!!) National Health something..... I held for a real LIVE person. Started in with this is my cell and I'm on the Do Not Call.......... only to discover he'd HUNG up on me!

they get the numbers from the do not call list, that the government publishes and hands out to companies. the no call list laws are not enforced so they just use it as another list of numbers to call

The very best strategy is to not answer the phone, let it go to voice mail if you have it. The caller's automated system can recognize the difference between a call recorder and a human voice, and if it recognizes a mechanical tone it will just hang up and go to the next number as this writer reported. If you really want to know who called, just go to Google and enter the phone number. You'll get to a page like this and you can see who the caller is. Sometimes its a charity or fundraiser like police or highway patrol or a political ad, all of which are exempt from the Do Not Call lists.
Bottom line: Just don't answer your phone unless you're pretty sure you know who's calling.

You can report them all you want.  The number that shows up on your caller ID is not the number they are calling from.  The number is "spoofed" by an intricate network of switching.  How did they get your number?  They don't "have" your number.  A computer dials all the numbers in sequence.  The computer does not really care about the "do not call list".  They aren't selling anything.  They are scammers trying to trick you into providing personal information - SS#, bank account, credit card # - so they can steal you identity and/or rip off your credit card with bogus charges.  Does anyont think these people come to this site, and read messages that say "stop calling me".  If they come here, it's just to laught at you.  Stopping these scammers is a technology issue.  The telephone carriers can stop it, but they don't care.  Tell your US Senator and Representative that you want them to force the phone companies to stop this crap. The sad thing is this website has featured links to report that the FTC is shutting these people down. What a joke.

Got a call this morning.  Did not answer.  No message left.  Based on prior posts I would not answer this number.

Just received a call from this number, I did not answer. it just showed up as missed call from this number. then searched for this number is from Pennsylvania. No voicemail left to me either.

wanted to know if I wanted affordable insurance, when I stated I had insurance they hung up.
