I'm annoyed..it happens too often to us, when you're waiting for a phone call from a loved one in Iraq, you just can't NOT answer the phone, and then they say obsenities!  Not good for a 3 year old either to hear!  THink about turning them in!

Received just one call while away from home. No message left on my machine.
Traced it to Washington St. in Morrisville, PA.  Will have a name soon.

Just received a call tonight around 7:18pm and they identified themselves as Statewide Appeal. I never heard of this organization and they are not on the internet. Another pesty telemarketer.

Have gotten several phone calls from this area code, some have spoken and identified themselves as Hillary Clinton for President.

Keeps calling while I am at work and leaves no message.

Called at 6:30 p.m.  Heard 'beep' then nothing, but it sounded like someone was listening but not talking.  I stayed on the line and they hung up or disconnected.

Gotta laugh, these guys probably make more insalery and retirement pensions then the people they call

AAST is a national, non-profit organization composed of active and retired state troopers and state police officers. The Association is fraternal in nature and is NOT a labor union or collective bargaining unit. Membership in AAST is voluntary; the choice to participate is made on an individual basis. Our fundraiser for the AAST Scholarship Foundation utilizes a sweepstakes promotional device by which cash prizes are awarded to participating consumers on the basis of chance, with no purchase, contribution, or entry fee required to win. National Do Not Call Registry

Placing your number on the National Do Not Call Registry will stop most telemarketing calls, but not all. Because of limitations in the jurisdiction of the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) and the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), calls from or on behalf of political organizations, charities, and telephone surveyors would still be permitted, as would calls from companies with which you have an existing business relationship, or those to whom you?ve provided express agreement in writing to receive their calls.

In addition, non-profit organizations and charities (like AAST) are not covered by the requirements of the national registry. However, please rest assured that if you are called by our fundraiser, you may ask not to receive any more calls from, or on behalf of, the AAST. We will be glad to place your phone number(s) on our internal ?do-not-call? list. We certainly do not want to contact anyone who chooses not to be called.

Caller just called the house.  Said, "Helen?" when my mother answered and she said "I think you have the wrong number."  He got angry and said that he needed to talk to Jim (my father's name.)  Mom said he was not at home and he hung up.  I just called it back - There is an answering machine for Statewide Appeal.  The machine said that if you just received a call from this number, they will call back - there is no urgency.

Calls and hangs up - no messages; Always around 5:30PM. When I try to call, they won't acceot calls from a blocked number (my home phone). Getting very annoying.

just called at 7:45pm and no one answered.  Tried of unwanted phone calls in the evenings.

When you answer the phone and dont hear anything or only hear a beep it's usually a machine. If the person stays on the line long enough you will be connected to someone.

No message left on caller id.

Got a call from this # the other day. Picked up. Long pause. Guy finally came on and said he was from I think a state appeal to raise money for the Police. Told him I was on my way out the door.

I called back this number it is a solicitor on behalf of the american association of state troopers....I hung up after he told me that.
