This number came up on the caller ID as BARCLAY BANK...when I tried to call it back, there was a recorded message stating: serious error....I called Barclays Bank and was told the number does not belong to them...must be a scam. Has anyone got a clue about this caller?

Do any of you people use Magic Jack.. That is where our call came in on but the answering machine picked up

These people from GCS are so annoying.  They called my house for about 5 days before I figured them out.  They won't tell anyone what they need except the person being called for so you think its all important.  They are trying to sell life insurance.  If you pick up the call, inform them they are working for scammers and you will be notifying your local representative about them.  That's what my mom did when I told her to have some fun with them.  :). Also, you can escalate the call to their supervisor, if you have time to mess with it.  They didn't call me back for probably 3 months.  So I told my mom to have more fun the next time they call.  Also just a small FYI, if someone calls and won't leave a message, then it is a scam.  All legit businesses will leave a message for the intended person and a number to be called back.

This number called my number last night & I asked the person answering to say I wasn't available beforehand . I am actually a USBank account holder, but I find these kind of calls very annoying. Needless to say, I would refuse to discuss my account with an unknown party over the phone anyway!

It's odd that USBank would subcontract cold calls out to a third party.

I received a call from this number yesterday. They wanted to speak to my husband about his "account". They said that they were calling on behalf of US Bank and that it was in reguards to his benifits. He wasn't home so I wanted to try to help them. They would not talk to me beause, according to them, I was not on the account. That info was not true because I am on all of his accounts and vise versa. She couldn't even tell me if it was a checking account or a credit card they were calling about. Needless to say she wasn't very cooperative and I ended up hanging up on her. Next time they ask for my husband I'll tell them "please hold" and walk away and finish my chores till they hang up.
