I just never answer any number I don't recognize. Only by mistake if I can't see the number.
Then I always try "search" to see if the number has been reported by someone else.
Let's see who gets tired first.

Received a call fromt his number. Turns out it was GOD. He was trying to get ahold of my wife but she wasnt home so he left a message. said he would be coming to get her soon......

I got a call from this number indicating Philadelphia PA and had to press 1 to speak with an intake analyst who conveniently had a number that was off by one digit from my number. They said I won a free home security system. He would have to take some information from me and have another guy call me to give me the details. After playing with this guy for a few minutes I opted out because this is a work number. I assume installation is free and they hit you up with a hefty reaccuring fee for the service.

Same person/company called me. I didn't answer b/c didn't recognize the area code. They selected to leave a message. Played message back. Nothing said - dead air. Used reverse phone look up and found call came from PA as did Jon's call.
