LBA is Lueke Baker & Associates, a VERY annoying collection agency!

don't leave a message, haven't called them back. do not want to talk with them. Do not feel obligated to call them.

Calls at least once daily from Sept. 13 thru Sept. 17, 2007.  Hangs up immediately.  Called them back on Sept. 17 at 2:15 PDT and woman said "LBA", I said 'who is this?' and SHE hung up on me!  AND, I don't owe anyone so it shouldn't be a 'collection' call.  Hmmmmm?  (We're in the Seattle, Washington area)

I do not answer them any more yet they never stop calling I refused to keep getting the mags, because they started sending smut to the house, refused to change the ones they started sending and then refused to cancle the subcription.  They get very nasty, I will not answer the phone if I do not know who is calling anymore.

The whole thing is riduclious.   If this "company" can't fax or mail the information I need to see if this is a legit claim....I don't know where the money to pay them will come from.  In other words....stop calling us

My husband and I have been receiving calls from this number for the past 3 months.  The strange thing is, what law firm have you every received a call from with a child in the background screaming "Mamma I'm hungry!"  Regardless of if these are people that work from home, I know they have someplace where they can actually work without interruption.  Secondly, I called my state's BBB and got the name and telephone number of the president.  When have you ever been able to call and the Presiden't of a company to answer the phone on the first ring?  Give me a break. Anyway, we asked this "company" to fax us the information regarding this balance and we haven't received anything yet.  As far as I am concerned, they can kiss my ENTIRE A$$!

This number, 215 436 8632 has been calling me for atleast three months.  I first talked to them and they said I had an outstanding balance for magazines that I ordered back in 2000 from consolidated media services. I told them that I had not ordered anything and they said that they would mail me a statement but never asked for my address and I never received anything in the mail.  After googling this phone number and researching all of the information on LBA, I called the number and told them that they needed to stop calling my number. The lady asked if I wanted to know why they were calling and I said, "your saying I owe money for some bogus magazine subscriptions that I never ordered and this better stop. I told her I had already filed complaints with the FTC and The Attorney General.  All she said was okay and Thank You and hung up on me.  I'll keep you all posted if I get anymore calls.

these fools keep calling saying i owe money on some old magazine i never ordered .but they are too stupid to realize that there is this great invention called the internet.

This number keeps calling my cell phone and doesn't leave a message.  They call several times a day.

I had cancelled back in college - in 1996 - they try to contact me at least once a year from different numbers claiming I now owe them over $800 but that they are willing to settle for 1/2.  Yeah right..I don't think so.

just got called from "department of" no message- this is a scamming "magazine service" collection dept- i hate companies like this. i never ordered magazines.

I tried filing a complaint with the FTC and they sent me a packet in the mail saying they couldn't accept my complaint because I didn't provide enough information. I filled out all of the fields on their web form, what more do they want?

These f****rs won't stop calling me even though I never ordered the magazines they claim I owe for.

I just verified with a directory that they are scammers, but the government has not taken action because the FTC has not received enough formal complaints. The FTC operates on a budget and it is not worth it for them to chase after every lead. Will need to band together to convince them to arrest these thieves.

keeps calling number even though i have not lived there for several years

This # 215-436-8632 calles numerous times a day and NEVER leave a message. When I call it back a lady says "can I help you?" If it is a reputable business who answers the phone like that? They also call late at night. VERY annoying!

I have been getting the same Dept of Calls for 2 weeks! they call 5 plus times a day never a msg left. I called them back (blocking out my number) and the lady said "can I help you?" I said yeah you can help me...lose my damn number!!! I hung up on them. Not like sayin that helped...they still call day and night..last call I got was 10 pm on a SUNDAY night!!!
There has to be something we can do about this.

After further research, "LBA" is "Luebke, Baker and Associates" It is a debt collection firm.  They are calling for someone we do NOT know and trying to collect from this UNknown person.

To make a long story short, THIS PHONE NUMBER appears to be from LBA, a collection agency.  

Another note is that LBA also is noted here at http://www.consumeraffairs.com/scam_alerts/cms.html as trying to collect 'bogus' magazine collections for CONSOLIDATED MEDIA SERVICES which someone stated somewhere on this website for area code 215 numbers.  

FYI, if you really want to order magazines from a REPUTABLE company, please try www.nea.org.  I have ordered from NEA for almost 20 years now and have NEVER had a problem in same amount of years; in fact quite the opposite.  Always helpful, available, etc.  Please know that I am NOT soliciting for a thing...just am happy to know NOT to order any mags from CONSOLIDATED MEDIA SERVICES it appears.

Keep receiving phone calls from this number saying they are trying to collect money from magazines that I had canceled.
