caller has an accent can not understand

Several calls over an extended period of time, never any message left, the one time I picked up, nothing, a few seconds pause, then disconnected.  Since I have Vonage and it would cost me nothing, I called it back and got a recorded message regarding hours of operation, etc. and identifying the caller as a fund rasing call center for non profits, charities, etc.

The HRTG Comp came up, with this number: 215-436-8642 in my caller ID. No message left on my answering machine.

Someone from this number called and asked for my mother-in-law who died over a year ago.  Obviously, it wasn't someone I wanted to talk to!

Call came in at home - lots of static on the line and someone on the phone who wanted to speak with "Miss Laura."  Said there was no one by that name and disconnected the call.  I have seen this number on my home and cell called ID but this was the first time "HRGT Company" came in on the call.

They called several time while I was not home. Didn't leave any message.
This yime I took the phone.  They said it was Mother against Drunk Driving. Asked for donation. I did a stupid mistake - gave them my credit card number. Now I am cancelling the card - they are obviously not MADD.

Just received a call from them, asking me if I were Sara, after already have identified myself as Rick P***o. The caller was a bit put off when I asked ...."Do I sound like a woman or are you in a coma"? Needless to say they hung up immediately

This company keeps calling me and I am sick of it.  I have caller id so I do not answer the call but it annoys me and I want it to stop.

This number keeps calling my cell phone once a day and they don't leave a message or anything...

I told them that I was already involved with the organization locally.
I was thanked, and that was it...

unsolicited call to no call number.

relentless calls... annoying

Several calls this week, originally showed unavailable, but now listing...

This number shows on my caller ID. Must have called when I was out. Tonight the called, and I answered. No one responded, and they disconnected just after I answered.

I wonder if they are collecting active phone numbers to sell to soliciters, or something like that.

These people have been calling me for weeks--I don't recognize the caller ID so I don't pick up. They never leave a message. They sometimes call twice in one night. I don't owe anybody any money so I'm not about to pick this up! This last time they called, they didn't hang up right away so I got someone babbling on my answering machine about letting their daughter keep their cell phone. It looks like it could be some telemarketing place called The Heritage Company. Next time they call, I hope I'm in a bad mood.

Didn't recognize number on caller ID so I did not answer.  If it is someone looking for donations or selling something I want them to stop since I am on the do not call list.

received a call from this number - told caller I couldn't hear him and he hung up didn't call back.

I am in Eastern Massachusetts.  No message was left.

This is one of those questionable chairitable groups ... The Doner Group.  Their number is unpublished and they also refuse to give out any information regarding how much they actually give to the organization they are collecting for. ie They just called me and asked for a donation for MADD, mothers against drunk drivers, when I questioned them about the $$$ amounts they keep vs what the Doner Group keeps, the conversation became very brief.  THE DONER GROUP is not TRUSTWORTHY and probably keep 80-90%%% OF EVERY DOLLAR RAISED. I have also gotten numerous calls from this number. Always let my machine pick up.  No message ever left. They call at 2 hour intervals. I am on the do not call list. 4 messages yesterday and 2 today. Getting pretty tired of this. Do you think they are trying to see when someone picks up.

some chick keeps calling,heavy breath and i know i'ts my boyfriends ex.

I am constantly getting calls from 215-436-8642 (THR HRTG COMP).  There is never anybody there when I pick up.  
I am registered on the National Do Not Call list.  
How can I stop these calls???

An areacode and number I had not seen before. When I answered, the person (real person, not machine) seemed to be in conversation with someone nearby and not waiting exclusively for me to answer. Somebody's call center I thought. When they mispronounced my name, I gave a 'excuse me, what was the name?' and another attempt was made. I said they must have a wrong number. They thanked me and hung up. Figure it was a Veteran's Day shakedown.
