If this person is a bill collector, he isn't supposed to leave a message on a machine is he? He did on mine...

He keeps calling my house and asking for a male by first name.  I refuse to answer.  Reading all these posts, I'm glad I never answer my phone unless I know who it is.  

United Revenue Collection Service. 215-750-3202  if you can record the call, you can file against him.  There are laws about collection calls and he leaves an illegal message.

This guy used Robert Smith and is a real smooth asshoole.

Dude calls all the time and doesnt identify the nature of the call!!!! He sounds like a real a**!!!!

He's been calling our house for months asking for my son. When I ask who is calling he gives his name but won't give a company name.  I then ask, "what is it in reference to" and he asks, quite arrogantly, "why do you need to know?"  I tell him it is because he is calling MY home and MY phone and I have a right to know who he is.  He totally gives me attitude!  I suspect he is a bill collector and my son would be happy to catch up on any outstanding bills but Michael will not stop calling.  Every time he does, he asks all kinds of questions.  Today I politely offered to take the number and have my son return the call, and then he asked me to repeat the number.  I told him I had it, and he patronizingly said, "why won't you repeat it back to me?"  I told him I didn't like his attitude and hung up.

I realize that bill collectors are not allowed to disclose to others that they are trying to reach someone to collect a debt.  However, they certainly can give the name of their company and be POLITE!  He has a very demanding attitude and doesn't get it--he is calling ME; I have a right to know who I am speaking to but he won't cooperate, and then acts annoyed when I won't tell him anything HE wants to know.

He's a particularly persistent  bill collector. Used to call under the name Mike Masters, but is now using another fake name: Richard Harris. Same Voice on the answering machine, just a different name.
