Legitimate phone call from Aetna regarding my benefits and location of a physician in my area.

Legit - followup from Aetna regarding benefits.

I called this number back from my cell phone and the recording said, "you have a reached a non-working number for Aetna, please call the telephone number listed on the back of your health insurance card.".  Suffice it to solve the mystery.  However, why didn't the caller leave a voice mail message?

Received a call from 215-775-8047 and it was AETNA regarding a family members Part D Prescription Plan with information on an appeal that we filed regarding a medication.  The person calling left a message and in that message they gave me a different call back number.  The call back number was 215-775-2080.  LEGITIMATE Call.

Oh no you should stop calling on that number because that number is no longer in service now.

Aetha. I faxed some documents to Aetna and it had a mistake. They called me back, I verified who they were and it was indeed Aetna.

This IS Aetna Health insurance...I am not an Aetna employee but this is a health coach as previous posters state. They call if you need more one on one discussions. Also if you have been hospitalized recently. They ask for your birthday to verify they reached the correct person before discussing your medical information. They are following HIPPA protocols.

called me 6 times consecutive nonstop in the most annoying sequence over and over!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I got a phone call from this number at 6:30 AM!!  Since I recognize the area code and know people in the 215 area code, I answered.  Seriously people!  If you are going to call me for some stupid reason, wait until normal business hours in California!!

it's Aetna - probably because I didn't fully complete an online insurance form

This number shows up on Caller ID for a whole host of calls from Aetna.  My call came from Agent Linda Giambrone in response to my request for insurance information.
Her actual number is 215-775-8967

I am applying for Aetna insurance coverage and they called me back from this number.  Definitely a legit number.

It is HIPAA, do your research.

Not true. Its federal HIPPA policy for insurance companies to verify your information so they dont accidently start discussing your benefits with someone who isnt you.  Do your research.

I received a call from this number asking for personal information.  When I told them I didn't feel comfortable with that since they are my insurance company and should have my birthday etc they told me they would give me a number to call them back on to verify it's Aetna.  I said why so you can pick up the phone and say "Hi this is Aetna"  when I asked for them to mail me what they were requesting they said they had to do it by phone.  I hung up on them called Aetna and they told me this number isn't an Aetna number.  Follow your gut.. your insurance company isn't going to call you to verify your birthday.  And if Aetna is doing this to people in today's world they are truly stupid.

call received to verify some personal info.  An earlier call that I made today TO Aetna was to investigate why my coverage was in "pending" status.    Appears to be a legitimate call.  Return calls to this number return a busy so it must be set up through a switchboard for outgoing calls only.

This number has called my house 3 times in the past 2 hours. Every time I pick up, I get this weird beeping noise. I tried calling back a few times and all I got was a busy signal.

My wife keeps getting a fax call on her cell from this number. Trying to call back gives me a fast busy. I think I need to forward her cell to a fax machine to resolve this.

I got a call from this number today. I cldnt attend it as I was busy with something else. When I tried to call the same number, its not giving any response( seems as if like a invalid number)...but after reading thru the previous posts it does seem that it can be from Aetna. But I am not sure as I dont have aetna insurance for the last 1.5 yrs.

I am not an Aetna employee, nor have I ever been insured by Aetna, but I got a call yesterday from this number about my Aetna benefits. They called my call phone and used my name, so I am concerned.

I received a call from them "UNKNOWN CALLER" and when you call them back, all you get is a busy.
AND we have been waiting three days for a call from them to straighten out Part D coverage.

I am an Aetna employee and I got a call from this number. I was on a confernce call at the time but tried calling back since I have caller ID. I had no sucess. I will keep trying.
