Soliciting for Police Officers' charity: support families of police officers, etc.  When I asked to be taken off their list the man hung up on me.

Sick to death of them calling. This is Sunday for God's sake. Leave me the hell alone!!!

It's that time of the year again!  Our phone has been ringing off the hook from so-called charities.  Our callerID showed this number has called SIX times in the past week (ID shows as "unavailable") without leaving a message.  Today I was home to answer and sure enough it was some man informing me that "this call is being recorded" and then launched into a spiel about helping the police chiefs association or some police organization.  He admitted he was not WITH the association but was hired BY them.  You know what that means... 90 cents to the telemarketer, 10 cents to the charity.  Asked to be placed on their internal "do not call list"... wonder how long that will last?

Called landline w/o message. Now blocked - thanks all.

Just called 8:50 pm. Harass me day and night. NEVER leaves message. My answering machine goes into a shrill beeping message. So stinking annoying. Wish there was something I could do.

Just called again. I didn't answer, of course. Getting tired of these telemarketers.

The fact that you're on the Do Not Call list does NOT matter to scam callers. Legitimate companies subscribe & abide by the list, but scammers do not. Although the government can be blamed for many things, this isn't one of them. Many of these scam calls originate from overseas, and the numbers that display on your called ID are spoofed/faked through software, and aren't coming from anywhere near the location of the number displayed. Also, pressing ANY option to remove your name from their calling list only makes it worse. It basically tells their system that your number is valid, and they'll only keep calling, or you'll receive calls from completely different numbers. It's similar to when you open a Spam email with the images downloaded. There's a hidden pixel that tells their email system that your email address is valid. Many cell and landline phones have some type of call blocking feature where your phone won't ring, and if they don?t, just ignore the calls, as annoying as they are. You can try sending a detailed complaint to the FTC and FCC as well.

Got a call from this number yesterday - Sunday - at 3:37.  No message left.  Big surprise.  

3:55 pm...they just called. Caller ID says Out of area.

They called me also on dec. 5th.  I didnt answer.  I too googled the number, said payday lending scam.  This seems to be the only calls I get on my landline phone anymore....unbelievable.  Sick and tired of these scammers, I work my butt off for money, these people need to get an actual job and stop trying to steal money from hard working people.  

this call came in from "unknown"  at 2:18pm on a sunday. didnt answer it....looks like others have gotten this too....what a scam. too many losers trying to get your hard earned money...or make disgustingly bogus offers...

It's Sunday afternoon at 1:45.  I didn't answer, but checked here instead.  These people are absolutely unbelievable.

Voice over IP phone number assigned to Philadelphia, PA.  Returning this call yields a recording saying that nobody is available to take your call, but they never identify who they are.  They instruct you to call during business hours.  Of course, I was calling during business hours.  They then ask you to leave your phone number if you want to be placed on their do not call list.  I think I'll just report them to the PA and Federal DO NOT CALL lists instead.

Got this call last night at 8pm with Unknown name showing on Caller ID.  A google search said it is a Payday Loan Scammer.
Today I received another strange call from this area---215-254-6527---with caller ID showing V20711412600071.  Past experience shows that Caller ID's like this are Spam/Telemarketers.  Are these numbers connected?  I've learned never to pick up numbers I do not recognize or that do not have a legitimate name connected to them on Caller ID!!!
