Called @ 10:14 am, no answer when I picked up the phone, must have been too late. Anyway, I cross checked a number with this message about the medical alert system scam.
  Guess what? This company is owned or affiliated by none other than our local drugstore, CVS>>>>>

We have our RX's filled by CVS. So I wonder why they would know I am over 65 and they even call my UNLISTED PHONE NUMBER. I do wonder how they got that information? wonder, wonder, wonder!!

Then I wondered why I do business with this drug store whose was fined $$$MILLIIONS a few years ago for so called billing errors by billing your 2 insurance providers  FOR THE SAME  RX if you had them.

So as not to take a chance, I transferred all of my RX's for the family to another drug store chain.

And I thought the NSA was keeping eyes on my home! Maybe CVS just happened to sell their list of RX customers to someone!

The caller ids himself as "John," and he supposedly is calling to send a free medical alert system.  He calls from many different numbers, and it is a recording.  I consider it abuse of the elderly the way that this medical alert company supports this type of calling.  I have received the same call from at least four different numbers, in spite of being on the DO NOT CALL list.  I recommend blocking the number or filing a harassment complaint.

TRIED TO CALL NUMBER AND GOT A RECORDING THAT THIS NUMBER HAS BEEN DISCONNECTED.

Apologies. It was for a medical alert system, not a security system.

Received a call from this phone number at 10:09 am, and when I answered it, there was a momentary pause at the other end. I should have hung up then, but didn't. A guy started talking about shipping my security system, to which I replied that I didn't order any security system. He then launched into a scripted response which I was unable to interrupt. He just kept talking. I tried to tell him I'm on the do not call list, but he just kept talking. At this point, I just hung up. I really do need to get one of those call blockers.
