This "debt collection agency" is trying to scam you for money. They called me, claiming that I owed money for a credit account I opened up with American Eagle. They told me they needed my information to send me a summons to appear in court, where I could dispute the charges, but I would most likely lose and be required to pay the charge plus attorney fees. They told me I could avoid going to court by paying the full amount today or they could set up payments. When I started questioning them, they got defensive and could not answer any questions, like a reputable company should. Instead, I was called a liar and told me I was wasting their time, and they would just send me summons to appear in court. They ended up hanging up on me. I called back after I researched this "company" online and found several complaints against them, to tell them that I was reporting them to the Federal Trade Commission for blatantly violating the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, and the guy on the other line called me a "mental case" and told me to "stop getting my panties in a bunch." Yep, it's a scam, so please don't fall for it. I reported this telephone number and this trashy telemarketing group.

I received a similar call today.  They didn't state what county however I don't live anywhere near Macon County.

Caller left me a voice mail stating that there was a Formal Complaint filed against me in Macon County ( I live in Decatur). Said that I was a defendant and needed to serve me with legal documentation for a summons in court or that I could call the number 217-689-4676 to put a stop order to this complaint... The guy sounded pretty official but I looked up the macon county clerk records and haven't seen anything. So I'm not sure about this phone call or if I even want to call back, thus I Googled the phone number and found this page.

Called my office but left a recording re: a person who doesn't even work here.  I am so tired of these debt collectors leaving recordings for bogus people !!!!!!  Stop doing this!  I have better things to do at work than to receive these rediculous calls.
