S*** i wish i read this thread before i send the htc 8x phone. now its out of my hands. he says her name is "TAMARA SVAGUSA" he told me to send the phone to a "PELUMI THOMAS" in nigeria. i knew there something fishy at first but when send those "paypal" email it seem to be real. F***! THAT GUY! btw i called his phone and an answering machine says his name is david. I HOPE HE DIES PAINFULLY!

Yeah guys it's a Spam, I got the same message for an add on kijiji twice ! The same text except the price obviously. They take your banking info and sell them to hackers. These people have a Huge network in Texas, New jersey and other states.

Please help us catch these criminals by submitting reports to the FBI cyber crime department.

plus making so short english message on a french ad and taking time to copy the exact title may be a bot to me

I got a text today from the same number, asking what my lowest price is. Guy offered me 200 more than I stated, and gave me the same address as above. Glad I googled it because it seemed real fishy. Looks like they'll scam anything, because I was selling DJ equipment.

Just received a text from the same number as mention. He offered $90 more then the asking price. Asked for my full name and Paypal email. I searched the number on google and brought me to this. I knew it was fishy in the first place but just wanted to play around with the person for a bit.. After calling me an "idiot" for telling him he's a scam artist, he never replied. Since then I have been flooding his phone with useless text messages to at least annoy him since no action will ever be taken to get this scammer.

I got the same number talking to me! He contacted me via sms aswell. How much do you want and it better be in mint condition, then offered to pay me 80$ more then what I was asking and wanted my full name and email to transfer money into my Paypal! Only realized it was a scam when I found this page

I got a sms asking what the final price of my Lumix camera put on sale on kijiji, yesterday 2013-03-29, from this phone number 224-836-1893. I said yes then received an offer of 60$ more asking me to give my paypal number so he can send money right away. I ask for the adress and get this: 28 Kasili St off Lawanson itire, Surulere, Lagos.

I cannot locate this address on google map at all and think this is a scam from con artist of Nigeria. But the phone number is from the US. I did some other search on google and find out Lawanson is just the name of a bus stop in this Surulere city. The name Itire can be the mispelled number 85843 on a phone keyboard when you don't press the uppercase key.

I hope the police will arrest this guy who can con hundred of people this way.

This number is clearly still in use by this scammer. These earlier posts are from last Nov and I got a text from this guy last night for my Ps2 ad on Kijiji. Once I saw he wanted it shipped to Nigeria I knew it was bogus but I let him do his phoney Paypal bit but his confirmation emails to me from Paypal wasn't the same Paypal address that Paypal actually uses. Also they had typo's in them right from the start, real Paypal doesn't have language issues.I forwarded the bogus paypal emails to Paypal and reported him via phone too that felt kind of pointless because I wasn't even asked for the number that he was using.I busted him and he replied with a couple of silly things. I called that number this evening and it is still in use, his email said his name was Franco, but his Google phone located in Palatine Illinois says his name is David. I am going to make a few calls and if it isn't pointless, I will pay to have the full search done to perhaps obtain his address as he has been using this phone number for some time now. Shop, sell surf safely everyone :O)

Just got a text message for a kijiji ad.  They ask for the "final" price which is already in the ad.  Scammer dead giveaway.  Bunch of crooks.

Yup, I just had a call from same number wanting to purchase an item on Kijijii in Canada and ship it to NIgeria. Once I got the confirmation from Paypal the typos confirmed to me that it wasnt legit.

I was selling an item on Kijiji and they were willing to give me more than asking price.  They wanted my paypal address.  I insisted they send me an e-transfer.  They still insisted on pay pal address.  I had a feeling this was a scam and searched the number..... and here I am.

Ya same thing here. Offered me 210 bucks more to ship. You can usually it tell with these clowns. It's copy and paste conversations. And terrible English/grammar. JUst send them rude texts maybe they will kill themselves or get a real job
